Do you prefer powder or liquid/cream highlighter?

I feel like I use both equally! I use liquid/cream highlighters mixed with foundation all the time, but I use powder highlighter for highlighting my cheekbones.

Since my 58-year-old skin [on my face, at least] persists in pumping oil at a rate that should put OPEC to shame, my primary concern is how to *keep* my face from shining!
On those rare occasions when I do use highlighter, I’ll do a very scant application of [pressed] powder highlighter only on areas where my skin is very smooth, like bridge of nose, tops of cheekbones, center of chin, just under brows.
I’m NW15, and Sydney Grace made a subtly shimmery ivory eyeshadow that was pretty much My Ideal Highlighter. I can’t recall the name, though. 😖

Have you tried Natasha Denona’s Super Glow in Fair? I’m NW10 and it’s a beautiful neutral leaning slightly cool pinky ivory but when buffed into the skin, the color isn’t that noticeable. It’s more shine than color pigment and it’s buildable so you can wear it softly.

I live for luminosity! So yes Chanel highlighting fluid in sunkissed as a base before foundation.. not all over my face mostly upper portion upper cheeks forehead sides eye area… then my foundation/concealer and I also use a cream , liquid or powder highlighter to top it off! I don’t like the opaque frosty highlighters I go for the sheer more sparkly ones.. loving the Pat McGrath trio and my Dior quad

I have some creams I like but I reach for powder most often. That said, the formula I prefer gives a look similar to cream highlights when buffed into the skin – buildable shine with absolutely no glitter, sparkle or overt shimmer; a sheen but not blind from the moon metallic.
