I use moisturising body wash in the shower and a moisturising sun lotion so there really is no need. I only crack out the body butters when there’s a dry skin crisis.

twice a day at least! even if you’re oily a light moisturizer is important to keep away those wrinkles and keep skin buoyant and radiant

Ahhhgg! I NEVER moisturize my body, and my skin probably hates me for it. I am (1) too lazy and rushed when I shower in the morning to bother with it, but mainly (2) I loathe the feel of lotion anywhere on me except my face (which I do moisturize 1-2 times daily, with SPF!) I makes me really sqeamish somehow, so I just don’t do it. Yes, my skin is quite dry, but hey, no one’s perfect, you know?

Apply oil to your body instead! You can buy an actual body oil (I use a generic version of the Alpha Keri brand) and apply it to your wet skin while you are still standing in the shower after you’ve turned the water off, or you can use an actual vegetable oil like sweet almond oil . It absorbs faster, and you can apply it to wet skin. Just pat your skin dry and forgo lotion if you dislike it that much 😀

Every day after I shower, and more later on if necessary. I’m surprised to see that some people don’t. I would feel so itchy without lotion!

I’m good at using cream for my hands, however I always seem to forget to moisturize my body -.-
I do it like once a week, maybe twice. And then again, I seem to find it really boring so I do it really quickly

i never do, never needed it. but i think i should start with, because in the last few days i experienced extremly dry skin on my shinbone. so i should moisturize at least my legs.

I have no choice…if I don’t I will be very ashy! I do it after every shower, and after a part of my body has been in water.

I use a moisturizing wash, the Neutrogena body oil, then a body cream (Eucirn or another thick cream)

LOL, ditto!

As a black woman not putting lotion on daily is un-heard of. I didn’t think this wasn’t an option.

When I was a wee little lass, I was not allowed to step out of the bathroom after my bath until I had moisturized my body from head to toe. I am glad my mom drilled this in my head, because now my skin is sooooooooo soft.

Every single day, immediately after my shower, no question. If I don’t I will be super ashy and itchy. I use Aveeno fragrance free lotion or Cetaphil fragrance free lotion. I sometimes use a body oil before my lotion when it is really cold. I can’t stand being dry.

I have to do so every day, otherwise my skin gets very itchy and dry. Mostly because I shower every day, but also because I have dehydrated skin and live in a dry climate. I moisturize my arms and legs in the morning, and usually my torso as well unless I’m feeling lazy, use a body oil after showering and then apply cocoa butter all over my body. I used to not moisturize daily though – wound up with a scaly flaky back!

Hahaha barely at all! I know I should because it’s so dry here, but I always forget. By the time I’m out of the shower, I’m cold and just want to put clothes on! I think I only put on lotion if I’m itchy, or I just shaved my legs. Otherwise- nope!

After every shower I put lotion on from head to toe. I’ve been doing that for years I get itchy if I don’t. It’s part of my routine.

I HATE the feeling of lotion anywhere on my body (except on face of course) so i dont. BUT thank goodness my skin is silky smooth that i never have to 🙂 My body wash makes sure that i get all the moisture i need !! Oil of Olay body wash does the trick.

I voted “other”, and I hate to admit it, but I barely ever moisturize my entire body. Actually, it’s more like never. I do certain areas, like my legs so they don’t get itchy, and my hands and face, but honestly that’s about it!

Charlotte Avatar

I try to do it everyday, but I simpy do it because I have such a massive collection of body mosturizers, and I have more than enough to last me for life (so it seems). By using them daily I’m able to finish them a lot quicker and make room for new ones 😉

Hell Notes for beauty Avatar

I’m not much of a lotion person. I just feel weird. But lately I have been using 100% African shea butter and it blends right in leaving my skin soft and silky. Lotions tend to just sit on my skin as opposed to absorbing like the Shea butter does.

I moisturize every morning when I get out of the shower, while my skin is still a little damp. Living in Canada, especially in the winter, it’s pretty much necessary and my skin tends towards dryness anyway.

Heavy duty stuff goes on after my evening shower, then a lighter one in the morning. If I tan, I lotion before then and a few hours after too. I go through a lot of lotion.

I use Lush Cosmetics Buffy body butter bar every time I shower. You exfoliate, moisturize and pamper all in one! I cannot recommend it enough!

Reem Avatar

I Moisturize my body after every shower .. and before bed i’ll put some on my legs and arms because they need extra moister than the rest of the body.
