I also go with discreet makeup on daylight hours, especially if I’m with my family. I usually match some of my eyeshadow shades to what I’m wearing, so I was thinking either bronzes and greens (the safe option for me) or shimmering blue and matte brown. I never get red lips, I don’t feel comfortable in them, and it’s a pity because I love how they look when I see any reviewed here. Maybe some day…
I’m with you–Christmas Eve is when I’ll do something fun and festive, Christmas Day is pretty natural. But I think a either a dramatic olive and gold eye with a sheer berry lip or sapphire and silver eye with a neutral nude/pink lip. I’ll probably end up doing the green/gold and saving the sapphire/silver for New Years.

We celebrated early this year, so I already wore my holiday look. I wasn’t too sure about the lipstick combo with my eye makeup, but I wore the CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Embrace, and for my eyes I did a shimmery champaign with slight pink tones over the whole lid, then a darker cranberry wine red on the lower half of the lid (applied parallel to my lash line), then I placed a more matte dark bluish purple shade right in the outer V and hollow of the outer crease, and a light-medium metal shade in the crease blended with the outer V shade. These were all applied wet. I then applied the MUFE Aqua Eyes liner in 9L on the upper lash line and patted (dry) a dark slightly warmer brown over it, and lightly applied some of the red shade to my lower lash line. Then mascara and highlighter! I then wore a pastel pink lace quarter-sleeve dress from H&M, which is one of my favourites, with a brown fabric belt at my waist.
Christmas eve I wear barely anything.. Sometimes just moisturiser.
Christmas, totally diferent story! I will be wearing some sort of red lip and a soft contour and highlight. I’m thinking a mauve pink blush on my cheeks and of course I’ll fill in my brows. As for eyes I plan on using UD Darkhose all over with UD Virgin as highlight and tearduct 🙂
I think so. I want to do a gold/neutral smoky eye with some MAC eye shadows(I haven’t decided which one’s), Naked 2, UD 24/7 pencils in Perversion and Eldorado and a festive holiday red lip with KVD Foiled Love lipstick in Adora.
I have my new years look planned. A silver glitter eye and fake lashes with a bright fuscia lip. But for christmas I’m still thinking. Probably a classic pinup matte eye with winged liner and matte red lip. I’ll probably mix it up by doing a cool toned grey pinup eye instead of a warm brown.
Yep. But I’m always out of town, so if I don’t plan for it, it doesn’t get into the bag. 🙂 This year it’s based around NARS’ Isolde duo & berry lips, and that Stila Glam travel pallette from Sephora (snow/peachy gold/grey purple and the best shimmering taupe I’ve ever seen)
Christmas eve, I’ll be working, so I’ll do some kind of Christmas-y makeup- probably a green smoky eye with Sugarpill Junebug and theBalm Jealous Jordana. On christmas day, I’m wearing an outfit with plum, black, gray, and gold, so I’ll be doing my gold eye and berry lips with the Naked palette and Stila lip glaze.
Not sur of the entire look. I just know it ill include red lips in M.A.C. Red with a Mahogany liner. I think my eyes will be some shade of gold or I might do a natural eye with gold glitter and brown liner. We’ll see!!!
I haven’t planned anything. The only thing I know, is that I will wear my MUFE foundation.
I did a periwinkle/silver look for a Christmas party earlier this month, and I went with deep blue and sparkles for a family get-together last Saturday.
I’ll be wearing makeup on Saturday because, despite my best efforts, I’m working Christmas Eve (but, then again, so is my boss -_-), but I doubt I’ll do anything super special.
Christmas is generally lazing around, opening gifts, and we have to do it way early this year, so no makeup!
I’m not quite sure, because Christmas Eve, I’ll be cooking, which usually wreaks havoc with any makeup I’m wearing. So I’ll probably go pretty light for that. On Christmas Day, I’m going to my in-laws, which usually means a nice neutral eye and an understated red or berry lip. I’ve already told my Armani ETK #19 that it’s on deck for New Year’s Eve…
I don’t think I’ll wear makeup on Christmas Eve, mainly because my boyfriend and I won’t be doing much this year (can you believe his Christmas flicks are the 4 Die Hards? I was SO shocked when he told me about it last week and basically told him it ain’t happening this year. Hell no, I’m watching Love Actually mister!). But on Christmas Day we’re going over to some friends’, and I’ll probably be wearing something gold on my eyes and just a pink lip. I haven’t started using bold lipsticks yet, and I have major doubts about combining that with a copious amount of eating.

I haven’t really planned specifics, yet. Christmas eve (in the evening) I’m playing handbells, so I’ll probably wear makeup of some kind – possibly including green in the eyeshadow. I’d do a neutral eye with winged black liner and red lips (just got a new red lipstick) but that’s similar to what I wore last time that group of people saw me, so probably not!
Christmas day is pretty casual, but I may put a little on. It’ll probably be more simple, though, and involve nude lipstick since it’ll probably come off while eating anyway.
