Do you have an at-home pampering routine? How often do you indulge in it? Share!

For me, it’s a long, hot shower and exfoliating from head-to-toe, actually remembering to moisturizer from head-to-toe (I’m great when it comes to my face but not the body!), and some sort of mask (usually hydrating these days). I’d say once every other week or so!

The closest I get is a mud mask whenever my face feels like it needs a pick me up. All my other needs I take care of within my usual routine so I’m pretty set! Although I should probably do a lip scrub weekly and do my mask on a more regular basis. Now my wheels are turning for making a weekly pampering routine! 🙂

*For face, taking off all the makeup and dirt with the Clarisonic – my pores sigh with relief
*For body, a long hot shower + gentle scrubbing with a wash net + lotion

Mine is kind of similar. I’ll take a long, hot bath and scrub myself all over with Soap & Glory Flake Away body exfoliator (it smells amazing). I’ll wash and exfoliate my face and put on a face mask of some description (usually a purifying one). Then I’ll wash my hair and put a treatment on the mid lengths and ends. Then I’ll just lie there for as long as I want, remove the face mask and hair treatment and eventually get out of the bath. I’ll roughly dry my hair, brush my teeth and apply skincare before getting into a fresh pair of pyjamas. After changing my bedding if I haven’t done so before the bath, I’ll get into bed, use a lavender spray on my pillow and go to sleep

That’s my perfect evening. 😛

Every Sunday afternoon when my 3yr old goes down for his nap, I do a mini spa day. Legs, Hair Mask, Face mask, mani sometimes a pedicure. I wish i could figure out how to work in a massage!

What do you do to exfoliate head to toe? I use this japanese product for my face and just use those loofah things on the body but I feel it does nothing :\ advice?

I use a body scrub! I like ME! Bath in Papaya something rather a lot – not too gentle, not too abrasive.

I love to used a Bubble Bars from Lush for relaxing times(my current favorite is Blue Skies&Fluffy White Clouds soap),along with face mask ,these two routine can makes me as good as new. and then normal routine.moisturizer face and body etc.

Your at home pampering routine is basically the same as mine. I don’t know what it is about moisturizing my body but I rarely do it…does sunscreen count? 😛

No, there is just no way I can pamper myself at home. Never. I take quick showers and shampoos, fit in a face mask once a week or so whenever I can. I get my nails done at the salon about every 2 weeks, and I try to throw in a pedicure once in a while. That’s as pampered as I ever get anywhere.

It’s amazing what you can do once your children grow up. When my children were little I was all I could do to have a private visit to the bathroom without them wanting to come in and join me. Lol.

Thanks for the encouragement; you’re sweet. My children are grown up. They just turned 20 and 18 recently. Both are special needs, and the youngest is still in school. It’ll be at least a few more years for me, but they’re worth it. 🙂

Every Sunday I get into the garden tub, run the jets and colored lights and soak for approximately 30 min to an hour. I exfoliate my entire body, shave, and use a hyaluronic acid mask for an hour. I’m not a mani/pedi girl, so I keep that simple.

I do smaller things throughout the whole week but the only big marathon session is centered around treating my acne. About 1x a week I do this in the evening:

1. Aztec healing clay mask mixed with tumeric powder + raw apple cider vinegar to make the ph reasonable, wash off after 10~15 mins.
2. Follow with 100% pure organic neem oil and allow to soak for 25 minutes, then gently massage away any blackheads/open clogged pores. Neem oil smells like the devil himself but my skin absolutely adores it so I suffer through it – it’s so tough on my acne but leaves all my clear skin feeling unbelievably soft.
2.5. Deep condition my hair while letting the neem oil sit on my face, trim/maintenance my nails and moisturize those too since what am I doing with that time anyway?
3. Shower it all off and follow with body brushing when I’m dry.
4. Do any usual skin treatments like serums etc, and finally apply moisturizer everywhere. I save my most expensive moisturizing oils for “pamper day” ha ha.

The neem really does most of the work and to be fair I use it most days anyway, but having it follow the aztec clay mask seems to make my skin extra glowy the next day and my pores very clean without my face feeling “stripped.”

Pampering used to include long showers, some kind of good smelling shower gel and my loofa, but these days in California, I can’t justify a long shower. I still do the rest of my very simple pampering routine about once a week. I use a mask of some kind–Right now, I’m loving then honey based sheet masks I got in a Memebox– and then I do nothing during the time I have the mask on. I can’t read or write without my glasses, so I just get comfortable, ususually on the bed, and totally relax. I try to get my brain off the hamster wheel and it usually works and I feel great when I’m done.

When it is really hot in summer (and it can get up to 45 Celsius here in Melbourne!) I like to take a long, coolish bath and I drag out my body scrubs, face and foot scrubs and then have a lovely soak. As I am older and have fair, sensitive skin, I do have to moisturize my body regularly and I use a Natio (cruelty free and inexpensive) body moisturizer. Then I do my feet and face. I think you always feel better afterwards.

To me the most important thing I do is moisturize my skin. I always exfoliate my neck, chest and underarm with St. Ives facial scrub. Shea butter is the best for me. I use it on my hair, as a face moisturizer, my body and feet.
