We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! As with the Chanel quads of late, can I just say there really isn’t anything here that I want (or need, for that matter). I hope they rate well but I’m glad in some ways that I’m so overloaded with eyeshadows that it takes something really “wow” to grab me!
The blues are not for me, but the rest, I would certainly wear, but believe I have this range fairly well covered. I do love Red Tartan and will assess once review/dupes are avail. It’s definitely tempting.
Not sure what happened but started typing my response and the page glitched so hopefully it didn’t post! Anyway, I am not much of a blue person but I do like a couple of shades from the Blue Velvet palette. The other palettes seem to have a lot of similar colors both within the palettes and across all of them. I like Rosa Mutabilis but wish there was a browner shade to play off the rose/pink/red color story. I don’t really need more of those shades but they are very pretty shades. This is another case of wanting to see them before making a commitment. I foresee a full day of shopping makeup at downtown Seattle!
Other than the Blue Velvet quint, the rest look so terribly generic and done to death. And those very cool running, almost dusty periwinkle blues just do me no favors.
I love Dior’s palettes as you can do a few different looks with them and they are compact enough to throw in your suitcase. I have a number of them and they are very much treasured in my collection. The Blue Velvet would be the only one of the colors that I don’t have covered so I will be interested in the review of this one.
Hmmm – I usually look forward to seeing what Dior brings out, because you never know – it could be a beauty like the range last year – Jungle, Cashmere etc.
But these aren’t wowing me at all and I do like blue eyeshadow (Dior has brought out lots of them) – the shades are too muted for me. As for the others – much too reddish and orangish as well.
I really like the look of Red Tartan. But, $62?! Yikes. It’s a lot for 5 shades.
Are these all matte type finish? I would like to see a couple of satin not glitter eyeshadow shades
Nope, they are not all matte!
Maybe they mean “satin” by Velvet? Or a mixture of satin and matte?
