Dior Tan Bronze (04) Dior Forever Natural Bronze ($48.00 for 0.31 oz.) is a light-medium brown with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. It actually seemed a touch lighter than the prior shade in the range, though by the numbering system, likely was supposed to be darker; I found it appeared a little darker once applied and blended out on my skin than it did initially swatched.
The texture was soft, smooth, and velvety but a touch powderiness and was more prone to sheering out than the other shades in the range. Thankfully, while it had semi-opaque coverage, it was easy to build it up if desired. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

It is supposed to be a powder brush that is long-wearing and "blends seamlessly" to yield a "natural healthy glow." They had semi-opaque to opaque, buildable color coverage with a particularly smooth, velvety consistency that looked almost cream-like applied to skin, yet was slightly powdery in the pan. The product applied beautifully to bare skin as well as over foundation and was particularly easy to blend out.
The bronzers had a slightly denser consistency, but they were yielding, which ensured a variety of brushes could be used to pick up product--fan brushes to dense, large bronzing brushes--for different levels of coverage or application methods. Applied, the blended bronzer looked like a natural matte: no visible shimmer or shine, but it wasn't flat or dry, and it didn't emphasize my skin's natural texture (e.g. dryness/flakiness). The formula lasted nicely for eight hours on me before showing signs of fading.

Even though I rarely wear bronzer, I was interested in these lighter shades (mostly because I have a marked weakness for Dior stuff). I quite like this one (probably just because it IS Dior….I need to give my head a major shake) but I have Sephora Los Cabos (and never use it because I rarely wear bronzer….I need to stay after school and write that out 100 times!). Nevertheless, I will be interested in seeing the other lighter shades of this new release. A B+ rating isn’t dreadful but given the price, it’s not good enough to go rushing out to buy (especially because I rarely…..)
Too light for me, but a really nice option for the lighter crew! I think it looks very soft and natural.
