Dior Lilas Mitzah (176) Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow ($29.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a violet purple with pink undertones and a frosted sheen. Urban Decay Vice is darker, less pink-toned. Urban Decay Freakshow is much darker. Make Up For Ever #26 is slightly pinker and a cream product. MAC Butterfly Party is more frosted. MAC Violet is similar. Inglot #441 is lighter, brighter.

The newer Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow formula can be used wet or dry, depending on the intensity you desire. Applied dry, Lilas Mitzah was actually rather pigmented–nicely opaque with a soft, silky-smooth texture that applied evenly and blended out with ease. I haven’t had great luck across this range with the brighter pops of color, but Lilas Mitzah was a winner.  The texture has that soft feel you really look and expect from high-end brands.  When I tested the wear, it lasted well for eight hours, and then I noticed some slight fading after nine hours (without a primer).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
