Dior Front Row (769) Vernis Gel Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches
Dior Front Row (769) Vernis Gel Nail Lacquer
Dior Front Row (769) Vernis Gel Nail Lacquer ($25.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is a fuchsia-shimmered, pink-red with cool, bluish undertones. Formula X Spectrum (P, $12.50) has larger shimmer. Formula X A+ (P, $12.50) has no shimmer. Guerlain Madame Batifole (860) (LE, $23.00) is darker, no shimmer. China Glaze Love’s a Beach (LE, $7.50) is brighter. China Glaze 108 Degrees (LE, $7.50) is more of a jelly-finish. Essie Super Bossa Nova (LE, $8.00) is more fuchsia. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Recently, Dior revamped their polish formula to a “gel-effect nail polish” that is supposed to have a “glass-like shine and extended wear.” They also changed the brush, which is still slightly widened at the edge, but it isn’t as wide as the previous brush, so it is easier to maneuver on narrower nails (for me, the previous brush was almost too wide for my pinky nail, but this one is just right). After applying two coats, it was fully opaque, and the color applied evenly, smoothly, and didn’t bubble or streak. The consistency is on the thinner side but not watery. I thought the finish was only somewhat shiny after it dried down, though not truly glossy so you may still want a top coat for true shine. It wore well for seven days with very minor tip wear, which is slightly better than average for me, though very few polishes chip on me. After ten days, there was more noticeable tip wear, but it was still mostly intact.

Love this colour!
Yay!
Somehow I am not a big fan of pearly nail colors! Looks pretty on your hands of course!
Aww! Those are my favorite types, lol!
Ooh what a nice finish, I like it a lot! I also haven’t tried the new brush yet, but you are right, the one they had before was quite wide.
Hope you can try the new brush!
Haven’t tried the new formula… loved the old and the brush even though I have narrow nails. The finish does look a little more juicy on your nails and I love the shimmer running through this one.
I liked it, too! I felt like the wider brush gave you more coverage in a single pull, so there was less chance for brush strokes/streaking.
Ooh I love this colour! Reminds me of one of my favourite shades, Butter London’s Disco Biscuit, which is gorgeous but applies pretty unevenly. So I might have to go pick this one up!
Ooh, bummer that Disco Biscuit applies unevenly! I’ve seen swatches, and it looks pretty.
Yeah, it’s a bit of a jelly polish so it really pools to the sides on me! I put up with it because its gorgeous haha
That’s really beautiful!
Agreed!
Ooh.. That one is my favorite of all the ones you’ve currently reviewed! 😀 What a beautiful bright color that seems heavy yet has a translucence that just shines so perfectly! Perfect for spring and summer! It’s happy! 😀
I love how the pearl comes through in it!
Me too! It makes it seem so complex! Lovely! 😀
I love this colour, but probably because I think it’s a dupe of Chanel Tentation, which I already have, LOL! Nice that Dior has one in their formula though!
Haha 😉
So cute & great for summer! I already own China Glaze 108 Degrees, so I think I will skip out on this one.
Good call!
Oh, so pretty! I would love this as a pedi for summer.
It would be gorgeous on toes!
