Dior Cruise Collection Vernis for Spring 2013
Dior Cruise Collection Vernis
Dior’s 2013 Cruise fashion collection, which featured simple, graphic shades of black, navy and white, conjured up images of the classic Dior “Bar” silhouettes first seen in 1947, which were highlighted by a pop of bright color on the lips and nails. The Dior Cruise Collection Vernis is made up of three exclusive, limited edition shades, Mango (a warm yellow), Pasteque (a watermelon pink) and Lime (a fresh green) to add a perfect complement to the graphic silhouettes seen on the runways. The House of Dior, which was the first couture house to launch a nail varnish in 1962, is now celebrating 50 years of nail lacquers that have since become stand alone fashion accessories.

Pretty!!!! 🙂 I thought its very late in US??
Ooh, I like the green 🙂
YES! I am in LOVE with these shades–I am really fond of wearing brightly colored creams on my nails and these are to-die-for! They’re so juicy looking! And they really do look like their corresponding fruit names too (except for Pasteque–but if it were called “watermelon”, it’d be spot-on)! I usually pass on high-end polish purchases unless I feel it’s something that I absolutely love–not just like–and something that I feel is unique. These definitely fit the bill. I’ve never seen such a gorgeous, mango-y orange before! And that green…*swoon*
Pasteque is actually French for watermelon
The pink shade is lovely, I love how they named it watermelon pink. I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks up close!
Ah, Dior, you have been tempting me away from my faithful addiction to Chanel, and it’s getting harder and harder to resist. Well played. 😉 Now to wait for what Chanel has in store. lol
When I have seen them on a Dior counter this weekend in Berlin, I was almost shocked, they look so “spring” but it is not even Christmas yet 🙂 Anyway I got them fearing they would never reach the city I am living. I think I will wait until February to put them on though 😉
