If they’re anything like their last permanent range they launched just a few years ago, count me in!
Those of you who have been on the blog for awhile know that I pretty much pick up at least one palette from every Dior launch. I am hoping these have the same formula as the last couple of releases although I didn’t really have any trouble with their previous formula. I love a couple of these and would also like them to consider a few greens in the next launch. I will have to compare the two pink/red palettes and if nice may order from Selfridges. Very pretty and I like that they are starting to add skincare into the makeup. Every little bit helps.
On a slightly different note, I occasionally make my own cushion foundations by taking an empty cushion compact and adding my favorite foundation. I then add some skin care to make the foundation a little easier to pick up with the air puff. So, skin care in makeup has been something I have been doing for awhile and would like to see more companies think about trending towards that change. They put so many chemicals in to make things smoother, longer lasting, thinner, etc that using some good ingredients would be nice.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Dior and Chanel. They were the first high end makeups I purchased after finishing college and I felt so “rich” and “grown up”, maybe even sophisticated!! I remember walking into I Magnin in downtown San Francisco and feeling like a kid in the candy store. Everything smelled expensive, looked expensive and was expensive. I think that is why I don’t mind a slight scent in my products because it just brings out the nostalgia for me.
Also, my first HE clothing purchase was a red Dior Coat. I have it still and wearing it in Montana always is a show stopper!!
WOW – there is a LOT here to love – Jungle, Grand Bal, Poncho, Tutu, Soft Cashmere….but it looks like they might only be available at either Selfridge’s or Nordstrom’s which means “out of MY grasp” (though in all likelihood, The Bay may get some or all). I hope to see reviews at Temptalia as they are hardly budget buys and I may have dupes galore for the ones I like best.
Mariella, some have shown up at the Holt Renfrew website. I expect the Bay and Shoppers to carry them.
I like the denim, jungle, and trafalgar ones so far.
I just ordered Soft Cashmere from Sephora.
I saw some (though not all – not Jungle, for example) on the Canadian Sephora site but I don’t like ordering (and they’re not in store near me yet) – I like to see what I’m buying for myself. Thanks to Christine’s Dupe List, I can skip this one as I’ve got dupes for all the shades.
Wow – Dior has really gone all out here! I’m a bit wary of Dior nowadays, every now and then they produce something excellent – like their Celebrate in Gold quint, but then the brand will do something average. So many of the above are only available at selected retailers, which makes it very difficult to either swatch yourself or even purchase the desired product.
I am in the UK/Ireland and received an early release for these. I bought Mitzah and Rouge Trafalgar both arrived very quickly. Yes, they are the same formula very smooth great pigment, the sparkle shades are sheer but not bad. Cannot wait for Christine’s reviews.
These are all very pretty color combinations.
Finally some palettes for cool tones!
Dior eyeshadows have never really appealed to me but that changed when they showed sneak peeks of these palettes a few months ago. Black Bow is definitely on my radar and I’ve been eyeing Tutu as well but I’ll wait until Christine reviews them before buying because I can’t swatch them in store anymore.
