Dior Coral Sunset (002) Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Dior Coral Sunset (002) Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Blush
Dior Coral Sunset (002) Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Blush ($57.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “blend of orangey and effervescent coral hues.” It’s a muted, medium peach-orange with a satin finish. Tarte Fame (LE, $26.00) is darker, more matte. ColourPop Bonus (P, $8.00) is cream. MAC Love & Laughter (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery. Makeup Geek Summer Fling (P, $9.99) is darker. Makeup Geek Bliss (P, $9.99) is a smidgen lighter. bareMinerals Swoon (LE, $19.00) is pinker. MAC Melba (P, $21.00) is darker. MAC Immortal Flower (LE, $21.00) is pinker. Giorgio Armani Coral Bliss (LE) is pinker. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
It’s a new, limited edition variation available for summer in a hefty, metal compact. It’s a multi-hued powder that includes white, pink, peach, and orange, but none of the parts are large, so the most practical way to use it is swirled together, which yielded that peachy-orange hue as swatched. The powder was finely-milled and smooth, but it was powdery and looked a little dry on the skin. It had medium coverage that was somewhat buildable, but it didn’t stick as well to skin, so I really had to pack it on to get enough to stay in place. I would recommend applying this over a cream blush or as a cream/liquid-based foundation was drying to maximize color payoff. It lasted for seven hours on me.
Coral Sunset (002)

I am glad I didn’t pick this one up, as the quality is not there. I am more impressed with your gorgeous eye look and that lips color!!! Soo soo pretty, Chrisitne!
Aw, thanks Agata!
Dior strikes again. Everything they do is so pretty in the pan, and so weak in practice…
Agreed 🙁
Yes, my thoughts exactly!
What a beautiful presentation in the pan! I don’t really associate tie dye with high end luxury products, but this looks so pretty. For the price, though, I would expect a superior formulation.
I think they made the concept work as far as how they made it appear in the pan, but the formula could actually BE better, lol.
Wow – you look amazing in that lippie color! I’m glad this blush was easily dupable, though the packaging is pretty!
Aw, thanks, Raeanne!
What lipstick have you on? I LOVE it!
THE MAKEUP LOOK
On face: Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Loose Setting Powder. On eyes: ColourPop Mirage, Snakebite, Prickly Pear, Hot Tamale, Gecko, Truth Super Shock Shadows, Sephora Go for a Ride Eyeliner. On lips: ColourPop Fiesta Lippie Stix.
The tie dye design is so beautiful and I love how this looks on you. I wish I could pull it off but it looks a bit too pale for me
Thank you, Fancie!
What a bummer that this is so drying. It looks gorgeous in pan! Sadness 🙁
Sad times!
The packaging is pretty, but too bad they didn’t spend more on the formula. $ 57 for a blush that only gets a C+?
I wish it had a more refined, silkier feel!
Ugh, the arm swatches look sooo dry! And yet, it looks really pretty and cheery on your face…I wish it performed better. Oooh, I also spyed your eotd summation: ColourPop Mondays In Malibu! I am SOLD on it now! How gorgeous that looks on you!
Thank you, Nancy!
Huh. I bought this and I seriously love it. With my Tom Ford blush brush, I get ample colour payoff (although I’m fairer than you, around an NC 20), and the enclosed kabuki brush worked well for me too. I get an even, luminous finish and I didn’t encounter any problems with it not adhering to skin. I swear I don’t work for Dior, I just really like this blush! 😀
Happy to hear you had better luck with it, Jess!
I does look a little chalky and dry 🙁
🙁
Awww, what a shame that the color intensity just isn’t there. It looks so gorgeous in the pan. And it’s coral! Coral! 🙁
If only!
Yew, its pricey. Im sorry that you were so disappointed, but I have the “Pink Sunset” version, and I am quite happy with it.
Glad you like Pink Sunset!
What a beautiful presentation! I’ve begun to wonder why these high end brands spend what I assume is a lot time and money on presentation and produce mediocre products though. As I said though, it is beautiful.
Still sells well enough, I guess! 🙁
i bought both of the blushes and i really like them! almost had a heart attack one morning when i dropped this one in the bathroom but it was fine.
Happy to hear it, Amara! Glad it didn’t break when you dropped it!
It’s so goregous the pan, I wanted to make this my next high end splurge. Then Insaw the ingredient list and talc is number one! No wonder it’s so dry and powdery. I don’t have an issue with Talc in cosmetics but I always associate it as sort of a ‘filler’. It’s disappointing to see as the number one indgredient on a HE product.
It can be! There are products that make it work, but it is often a higher-up ingredient in ones that don’t!
Oh no, I’ve been wanting to buy one of these Diorskin products for the compact, but I’m not crazy about the bronzers that have this packaging in the permanent line, so I keep waiting for something LE. I thought this was going to be IT.
Aww! 🙁 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
I have this and it’s beautiful! BUT I have super oil skin so may be that’s the secret to make it work? May be it’s good for oily skin individuals instead.
