Deborah Lippmann Brick House Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches
Deborah Lippmann Brick House Nail Lacquer
Deborah Lippmann Brick House Nail Lacquer
Deborah Lippmann Nail Brick House Nail Lacquer ($16.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “shimmering rust” with–obviously–a shimmer finish. It’s a copper-shimmered, deep orange-red. The color is very rich and holds a lot of depth, which I think is why it comes together so nicely. Nubar Bronzo is much more orange but still retains the same level of depth and richness in color. I used only two coats for opaque color coverage, and when I met Deborah Lippmann at Cosmoprof earlier this month, she said she designs her polishes to be two-coaters. Â The way the shimmer is threaded through the polish allows some brush strokes to show. Â Typically, I get a week of wear out of her polishes–it’s a really solid formula and never chips on me. Â Brick House’s formula was a good balance between thick and thin to allow for even coverage without pooling at the cuticle.
FYI, the bottle I received was chipped and fractured, which is why I photographed the bottle over bubble wrap. Â The majority of the polish was intact, so I was still able to swatch it, but while attempting to save it, more glass broke off, and it was a lost cause! The bottles weren’t individually bubble-wrapped, so they were allowed to clink against each other. I receive a lot of polishes this way, but surprisingly, I’ve only had a handful (I can only distinctly remember two) break–go figure. I swear, if I ever shipped nail polish that way, everything would arrive shattered!

What a beautiful color! Very unique. Too bad about the bottle. ;(
You can also find DL polishes at Beauty.com–sign up and they have great samples and freebies w/ purchase! (no affiliation–just a DL addict LOL)
I’m pretty sure I saw this one the last time I was browsing the site.
Looks awesome on you (but c’mon what doesn’t??) 🙂
Can honestly say this is not a unique shade for me at all. But then I have polishes going back 25 yrs. I hate to see the brush strokes. I do like the shade and I really love DL polish formulas usually. This one just won’t be coming to my stash. $ is tight and this shade is just so so. I know I have others from OPI in years past that are the same shade or really close.
Surprisingly, I’ve yet to try Deborah Lippmann polishes. This shade is ok, but the glittery polishes she offers are way more appealing and have me salivating over them. I really need to pick some up.
So pretty! I’ve been wanting this shade since I saw the promo picture. It looks so orangey in the first few photos, then it looks really red in the last photo. Love the name!
Super gorgeous, but I really doubt I could wear this! I don’t even know what to pair it with…
By the way, Christine, you nails looks super long! It that just me?
They’re pretty long here!
You really hit the description on the head! Reminds me of warm color changing maple leaves!
reminds me of china glaze street racing, the type of shades that look not very special in a bottle but amazing on the nails 🙂
I’m a newcomer to DL and I love them already. I got the Get This Party Started set and a few others; one in the boxed set had leaked and they sent me a replacement set immediately. Excellent customer service. 🙂
Of the others I bought, the minute we get some real Fall weather, I’ll be sporting Brick House with accents of Superstar. I’m a sucker for coppers and bronzes, and both of these were serendipitous impulse buys. I can see wearing them year-round, even (or especially) on hot Summer nights.
