Cult Nails Captivated Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches

Cult Nails Captivated Nail Lacquer

Cult Nails Captivated Nail Laquer ($10.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as a “coral jelly polish packed with intense gold and coral glitter.”  It’s a pink-coral jelly base with molten gold and coral glitter that spreads really evenly and easily over the nail.  It’s best to wait for each coat to dry so that you don’t disturb the existing glitter.  I used three coats for a more opaque look, but it has a nice translucence when done with two coats–it’s truer to the squishy, jelly finish with two coats.   The formula is very thick; it reminded me of the consistency of hair gel, actually.

Captivated is a limited edition shade, and I know that Maria (creator and founder of Cult Nails) let me know that quantities were dwindling when she sent these for review.  I wore Captivated for a week without chipping, and removal is on par with other glitter polishes–it’s best to let your remover soak on the nail for a little bit and then removing.  I just use felt soaked in Zoya Remove+ and press it against the nail for 5-10 seconds, and then I do one pull.

I’m not usually into glitter nail polishes but I really like this, even though it’s bright and glittery, it doesn’t seem over the top to me.

After declaring just yesterday that I need to go on a nailpolish no buy for a long time, after seeing this gorgeous polish, scrap that no buy! This is a must have! Beautiful!!!

I too bought this polish and while I can’t wear glitter polishes to work on my finger nails, I can on my toes-and it’s gorgeous. It’s lasting well over a week now!

I love these polishes!! I got four of them during the memorial day sale. This is definitely coral in person, and it’s awesome. Iconic is also fabulous, I have it on my toes!

Amazing shade! Different than any glitter polish I have – but oh such a love/hate relationship with glitter polish I do have. My eye goes right to the glitter polishes on any display! I have fun wearing them – but sometimes think – oops a bit too teeny bobber look for me. I rarely will keep a glitter polish on for more than a couple days for that reason. I get caught with somewhere to go that unless it’s winter & am not showing my toes in public…I still polish them year round however – just for me!

I really like this for toes, and really do love it. Depending on the length of your nails though I think it could end up looking a tad on the garish side.
