Crest's Get Bright Challenge: Introduction

Hey all! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Life’s been pretty hectic, but it seems to be calming down a bit–well, at least enough to be manageable–so hopefully I’ll get some more looks posted for y’all soon enough. (BTW, I’m wearing Givenchy’s new Kajal liner–super sultry black–and Le Metier de Beaute’s Dubai gloss!)

I meant to whiten my teeth before I went to NYC, but life got in the way, but it worked out. I’m participating in Crest’s Get Bright White Challenge. Each week for four weeks, I, along with several other bloggers from Glam’s Publisher Network, will be posting pictures of our smiles as we test out Crest’s new Whitestrips Advanced Seal whitening system.

I’ve tried several other whitening systems (Crest, Rembrandt, etc.), so I’m not new to the at-home whitening game. However, I’m really looking for to trying out these new ones. You’re supposed to even be able to drink water while you wear ’em! I’m a regular Starbucks’ goer, so you know I need some whitening power. I am SO hoping for a blindingly white smile at the end of the four week trial!

Have any of you tried the new Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal?

I’ve never tried any whitening systems, but I’m interested to see if they actually work. So I’ll definitely be following the challenge!

Christine, your skin looks really good! Are you wearing foundation in this picture? I am definitely going to check out Mario Badescu products because your skin looks so nice and even. My breakouts are clearing up a bit too. I quit using Studio Fix Fluid and switched to the Studio Fix Powder and my forehead is smoother. Also I suspect my new bangs were part of the problem so I pin them back now. Well you always look fabulous. I love your style. I just wanted to say your skin regimen is really working. Your skin looks so lovely!

I got a free sample of the Advanced White Strips, and while I’ve never tried any other whitening product besides toothpaste, I think they exaggerated a bit 😛 The strips definitely stay put, but the taste of the gel kind of gets all over your mouth, so I totally did not want to swallow any water that I drank while wearing them! Then again, I have really tiny teeth, so the taste might have come from the gel that didn’t get on my teeth.

actually, I have the crest basic whitening kit that I’ve yet to use… I will try them someday, my teeth is kind of yellow, but I don’t drink or smoke and rarely drink coffee. Anyway, can’t wait.

I just got down with the box of the Advance Seal white strips from Crest. I can’t say enough about these! I LOVE them! I liked the others…with the exception of the mess. The improved strips really CLING to your teeth, and you can drink with them in. I really like the fact that you don’t have to brush right after use, like you did with the others because of the mess they would leave. The Advance Seal leaves little to no residue!

I LOVE them!

Well, I just finished my two weeks of the Crest Advantage system. I really love them! They do adhere very good and are, at times, even difficult to remove with one hand! LOL… they’ve worked like a charm for me and my teeth are definitely whiter. I hope you enjoy!

Totally off the topic… but you look great! I just don’t get how you get your skin to look so fresh and glowing with SFF. I use it too and it just makes my skin look matte..

I would love to hear what you think about this system, because i want to try it out now too, lol.

I’ve never tried the advanced system that you’ve referred to, but I have used the Premium Crest White Strips many times (I’m actually using them now). I love them. They work really well at getting my teeth very white!

can’t wait to see the results! I haven’t used White Strips in a long long time, it’s probably time for another round! If those work for you I might give it a shot 🙂

Christine, You look good!
So does Maria Badescu really work?
I am a longtime acne sufferer, so much that I am a regular derm pt, and get my facials done by an Aesthetician. It got worst after I returned from Africa, but it’s so much better, however, I still have the occasional breakouts. I do have a regimen (clarins) that maintains but I need a spot treatment.

Also, I have heard of the new white strips, Keep us posted on how it goes.

Thanks again in advance

Christine – You look great. You can’t even tell of the acne.
I’ve tried so many options even Mario B and sadly it didn’t work for me. I think I might try Kate Somerville but it’s kind of pricey. Perhaps I’ll shoot for a facial and see what they say.

Anyway, looking forward to this review. I got a whitening kit from my dentist last year and I don’t think it worked plus my teeth became super sensitive.

I look forward to your feedback on this and your thoughts on the final results, as a Starbucks Lover myself, I need some whitening power 🙂
