The TruBlend Bronzer formula is supposed to be blendable and create a “perfect bronze glow.” It had great color payoff with a very smooth, blendable texture that was just a tiny bit powdery, but it was noticeably denser than the TruBlend Blush formula. The one thing I was caught off guard by was how the shimmer didn’t translate nearly as strongly on the cheeks once blended as it did just swatched on my arm–it was much more subdued, and as a result, there was no emphasis of pores either. On me, the bronzer wore well for seven hours before fading.

Oooh, now this is an interesting one! It’s too dark for me as a bronzer, but wondering if I can use it as a blush or highlighter. It’s hard to find yellow gold based blushes and highlighters, and I have some yellow undertones– think this can make me look pretty good or make me look like I have jaundice. I don’t have anything like this, will need to check this one out!
I bet you could use it as a blush/highlighter!
It’s nice that there’s a good, affordable option for a shimmery bronzer. Not something I use myself, though.
It was a nice find!
That’s interesting how the shimmer didn’t translate as strongly when blended, but it still looks quite nice.
I always find that the larger sparkle, especially in looser or drier formulas, seems to get lost!
The way this looks on you applied, is how ColourPop Poolside looks on me! Poolside is a favorite bronzer of mine because the CP bronzers run more golden-yellow instead of orange. This looks like a good one as well, especially for those a bit lighter than say, NC37-40, even NC35.
Oh, perfect, you have a dupe 😀
This looks really pretty on you! I like that it’s not orangey or dirty looking like some bronzers. Thanks for including some drug store cosmetics in your reviews!
No problem, Julia!
It’s always nice to see drugstore products here! Thanks 🙂
Sure thing, Melanie!
Too much frost for me. I like a very subtle sheen, satin, or soft matte bronzer.
I can understand that, Erin!
This probably would give a nice warm glow to my fair skin. I’d even try it on my shoulders etc 🙂 I may pick this one up. The price is right 🙂
I bet it would be pretty on shoulders!
I agree, the shimmer does look a lot more subtle on your cheeks, good! 🙂
It was a surprise!
Now this is a fantastic little bronzer for such a reasonable price. A great rating too. It looks really lovely on you Christine.
By the way, I was wondering whether you could review some of the latest eye shadow palettes from Milani? They look really great, but I would like to see what you think of them.
Thank you for the request, Genevieve! I haven’t seen them here locally, but I will keep an eye out!
i really dislike it when the #1 ingredient is that dang TALC! That crap sucks the moisture right out of my skin and makes my pores look like moon craters. My new TF summer trio has it as the first ingredient also and I’m feeling awfully frosty about it. I’d love to find a low cost bronzer but this won’t do it for me. It’s pretty on though.
I did see that in the TF list 🙁 Another reader mentioned she really liked Wet ‘n’ Wild’s bronzers – and I know they are good from experience as well – but she preferred the way it looked on her skin over UD’s blush palette!
