ColourPop’s Butterfly Collection also saw the launch of Ulta-exclusive palettes and Super Shock trios. I’ve divided them into three parts as the trios seem to be coordinated with the three palettes (and everything together seemed like it would be too much for one post). This post features the Butter Me Up palette along with the Flying Hi trio.Ā  Each palette includes two Pressed Glitters and one or more Pressed Pigments, while each trio includes one Super Shock Pigment (all of these come with a warning that they are not intended for use on the eyes).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Interesting colors, but I’m still not sure why Colour Pop is releasing the pressed glitters in their palettes not meant to be used on/around the eyes. I see they get around that in marketing by calling it a pressed powder palette, rather than an eye shadow palette, but still. After the feedback they’ve been getting, you would think they’d rethink releasing more. I also wonder what pigment they have in Fleet versus Paradiso and On A Whimsy (since the formulas look similar) that makes it unsafe for eyelid use.

While the palette sure does look very interesting, color story wise, it’s a no-go for me due to the pressed glitter shades. Same goes for the SSS trio. One of them is an obvious glitter shadow. I do wish ColourPop would STOP doing this. I’m losing interest in the brand because of their insistence on including pressed glitter shades in almost every single release recently!

Golly gosh Christine – what an avalanche from CP. Take your time over these as I think people either love the colour story or dislike it and will not purchase anyway.
As to the palette, it is either pinks/reds or silvery with some brown shades thrown in – it doesn’t seem very cohesive to me.
