Makeup.Just.For.Fun just posted swatches of the lippies, and she showed that several of the lipsticks are similar to the Princess shades. They aren’t exact but Maleficent is similar to Jasmine and Evil Queen similar to Snow White, according to her swatches. Super curious what other reviews will say!

So instead of the classic `a bunch of warm neutral with a pop of blue` we get the `a bunch of glitters\shimmers with a pop of blue`. I don’t know if it’s my monitor, but the swatches on Colourpop website don’t look like the colors in the palette… swatches look darker and have more depth. I mean Diablo looks lime-green (I initially thought that was facile), definitely not gold in both pan and swatches.
I guess I’ll have to wait Christine’s swatches. 😀

And we need male villain representation! How about a dark cold grey inspired by Shan Yu, a cold light blue inspired by Hades, a strong orange inspired by Scar or Shere Khan?

Liz Gunsmoke Avatar

Don’t forget the Hades and Dr Facilier lipsticks. They are male villains. 🙂
But OMG, Gaston red/gold/black would be brilliant!

It’s a little disappointing that a set costs more than the individual pieces purchased separately. I’m sure there is additional packaging, which would cost more. But still, it is nice when sets like these provide a discount. It’s a shame they don’t include the corresponding Jelly Much in the set, would have made it a great value for $25. Depending on how these review, I may pick some up down the road. I like bits and pieces from each character’s collection: the Cruella and Ursula lipsticks, the Cruella and Maleficent highlighters, the Maleficent and Ursula Jelly Much shadows, and the Evil Queen, Dr. Facilier, and Hades lip glosses. However, most of those shades are already well-represented in my collection, so I will probably see what I have to dupe these products.

I am actually really excited for the eyeshadow palette in this launch. It’s a great mix of some jewel tones with dark, grungy colors. I don’t think I need any of the singular pieces, but that may change once swatches are released.

Ash Avatar

The packaging is incredible, but some of these shades look very “safe”. I was hoping we’d see a little more variety, like blues for Hades and greens for Maleficent. The jelly much shadows seem to have the most pops of colour. Regardless, everything *does* look pretty and wearable.

Packaging is A+. Colory story… lackluster to me. I was expecting a lot more from this. I would have expected the colors to be bolder and darker and at least a couple unexpected “unique” choices. I think they missed an opportunity with some of these – especially since a lot seem to be dupes of recently released colors in the same formulas.

I am interested in the Bad Apple gloss… but not excited that these are all the brush applicators. I really prefer the wand.

Alexis Avatar

The packaging for this collection is everything! I’m sure i have dupes for most of the colors in the palette, but it’s so hard to resist! I really want 3-4 of the JellyMuch shadows and 2 of the lipsticks. But I’m going to patiently wait for Christine’s reviews and swatches. I want to see if i already have dupes in my collection. Also, i don’t always trust the swatches on their site or instagram.

Jane Avatar

The palette doesn’t look to bad, but I’m soo hoping to be able to dupe most of it so as to avoid it. Glad it’s ColourPop since paying for shipping as much as the palette will help to dissuade me. LOL!

CK Avatar

The packaging is cool, but to be honest, there is very little here that I would want to pick up. The only innovative colors seem to be in the glosses and even then, I’m sure they are dupes.

Brenda Avatar

I ordered the palette and the Malificent set today as soon as they were available. I’m a huge Disney lover, my magic band is the villians (I live near the parks) so I knew as soon as this collection was announced I was getting pieces.
