I used to play the heck out of Candyland at my aunt’s house when I was little! This is so nostalgic, dangit how am I ever going to actually practice a no buy if I don’t stop buying everything?!
Geez, ColourPop, can we have time before a new launch to receive the order we placed for the last launch? 🙂 Fortunately, nothing here appeals to me, but that’s based on ColourPop’s (usually) inaccurate photos which appear to be colors easily duped.
I really agree, I think they should at least get one launch shipped out before dropping another one on us. I’m sure they are trying to make up for when they were closed down, but still, give us a moment to enjoy and appreciate one before another.
Oh dang, I want that body powder! This is a cute little nostalgic collection, and I can see it selling quickly.
Oh, how freaking cute! I love this. It’ll probably be impossible to get.
At first glance it looked like Solomon just cut the Garden Variety palette in half!
This is really cute, and with the branding and price point could especially be great for sharing makeup with kiddos. That said, I feel like the branding on the Lip Balm and Highlighter really screams “Christmas!” Can you even get candy canes any other time of the year?
I’m getting annoyed with CP. They have way too many releases with this being the 3rd release in 3 weeks! I didn’t purchase anything from the last two because I’m tired of feeding into FOMO and unnecessary purchases. While I love this newest collection, I don’t need it.
Overall, I love the aesthetics of this release. I pretty palette of pastels but coming into fall I am not sure. Looks like it would have been better to release in the spring. Anyway, the colour story is pretty and I certainly have memories of playing Candyland with my siblings back in the day. I doubt I will get anything but will have to see reviews and swatches to make a final decision. I should buy this and skip the two expensive releases I am pondering but wouldn’t get the rush I will from buying the HE.
Why do I feel like CP employees came up with a slew of ideas during their down time and are now cranking them all out? Yikes. I actually didn’t mind the slow down of releases earlier this year because I got to play with my collection more.
I am going to be all over this collection. I used to love playing Candyland! I AM READY. And it appears that the eye palette is all eye safe so that’s even more exciting.
Omg I love this collection. I remember playing this game ALL the time when I was little. I have been into pastels looks lately so this palette is DEFINITELY speaking to me. I can’t wait to see what the brushes will look like (I have a thing for brushes) because I already know if they are gonna be cute I will want them too ?
Dang colourpop so much cuteness!!way to distract from my sucky summer!
Gosh – hasn’t CP released enough pastel themed palettes? Candyland? Seriously – I wonder what market they are aiming for here….
Totally agree! I’m sure i’m older than the demographic for which this is intended since I never played “Candyland”. But CP has done this before with “My Little Pony” and more recently with “Sailor Moon”. As a women of a certain age, it reminds me of “play” makeup for kids. But for those who love it, indulge!
I read that the millennial demographic has been showing spiking interest in nostalgic shows and themes, as a source of comfort amidst all the uncertainty.
Cute idea, but I’m sure it will sell out before I’m ready to think about buying.
I adored Candyland when I was younger, but this doesn’t appeal to me at all. I know it’s inspired by a kids’ game, but even so, it looks so juvenile.
This is a really cute collaboration that definitely makes me nostalgic! Not my colors or style though, but fun to look at!
I have a lot of nostalgia for a roller ball lipgloss. No brand has ever come out with a lip gloss shinier than a drugstore roller ball gloss. Having said that those glosses migrated all over your face. The collection is cute but nothing I need.
I watched a swatch review and (thankfully) this palette has a ton of those micro glitter shades so I can pass on it and not feel like I missed out. If those micro shimmer shades were metallic or no glitter true matte shades I’d be all over it though. I love Candyland! The tinted balms do interest me because that is the kind of thing I wear on my lips daily, but shipping on a $9 balm just seems counter productive so I’m going to wait and see if it is around when I want to place a bigger order. The blushes look very pretty too. I have so many older CP items on my wishlist that I fear are discontinued at this point… but my luck would have it that after placing a small order they would show up again!
