ColourPop Poem Palette Review & Swatches

Poem
ColourPop Poem 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a cooler-toned, neutral color story that included three matte eyeshadows and two shimmer eyeshadows. The darkest matte shade was fairly powdery and more prone to sheering out/having fallout, while the other four shades applied decently to well.
This palette is one of five in a holiday vault, though ColourPop said they would be available individually when I asked, but they have not appeared individually on the site. It’s not realistic for me to review it as a set (takes much longer, but I also started testing them across sets already, and the system is better setup for a palette, not five palettes within a set, for readability!), so I decided to review them individually still.

Stanza
Stanza is a light peach with warmer undertones and a metallic finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin. It had a lightly emollient, moderately-dense texture that picked up evenly with a dry brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Prosody
Prosody is a medium, rosy copper with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic finish. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage that adhered well to bare skin with minimal fallout. The texture was slightly drier, though it still held together pretty well and wasn’t difficult to work with. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Sonnet
Sonnet is a light-medium taupe-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had a smooth, blendable texture that was a smidgen on the powdery side, but I didn’t notice fallout during application. It had mostly opaque, buildable color payoff that wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Fable
Fable is a medium-dark purplish-taupe with cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was moderately powdery, slightly thin, and more prone to sheering out, so it was hard to achieve greater than medium coverage without a primer. It lasted for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

This is another lovely little gem and Prosody is a pretty shade, but I would have liked to have seen one of the brand’s good shimmery taupes in it instead to make it that bit more cool toned.
Do I need it? No! Do I want it? Hmmm….
This little palette has me written all over it.
Not in the mood for neutrals, even if they are cool toned. I will pass. I picked up the Violet Voss Cool Palette quite a while ago and it meets my needs for cool toned neutrals. I hate when shadows are so dusty. I always think of the cost going down the drain as I have to blow the dust off. Granted, ColourPop is pretty cheap but it is still a waste. If there was something really unique then I would be more interested,
I would definitely wear this! But, do I need it…hmm? Cheap enough that this may not be an issue, though.
They look like the ND palettes.
