I definitely don’t need anther Colourpop eyeshadow palette but some of the shadow names are cracking me up! I lost it at No Egrets…

PS. you only have 8 shades listed for BoP – I think you’re missing So Fly 😉

I see they are using a popular single, Bel Air, in one of these palettes. I bet there are other reused shades as well (that one just stood out to me since I own it). I don’t care if brands do that as long as they are up front with “this is not a new shade, but one of our best selling ones” or something like that.

I have Flower Boy as a single, so that one is a repeat, too. For the price, I don’t mind if I already have 1 shade, but I agree that it would be helpful if Colour Pop would indicate new, palette-exclusive shades vs. repeated shades. It would help people make more informed decisions (and probably get them more excited for shades they know are exclusive to a palette). However, I will say, Love Bird is a pass for me, and already owning Flower Boy tipped me over the edge. I don’t care for pressed glitters, and it appears as though there may be 3 in there; that makes 4 shades out of 9 in that palette that I do not need!

I was kind of hoping that U would get some of the CP mono palettes…smoke show in particular….but it seems they are getting retreads. It winds up looking as if they are trying to make U’s look/feel different, when they actually are not. Many repromotes in new packaging.

They just won’t go my kind of pink. Pink is always the bridesmaid in these “softer” palettes but it’s pink I want to marry. Not peachy pink, not coral pink, I want old timey ephemera pink like someone pressed it in a book and forgot about it for fifty years. Their pinks always go orange on me like oxidized foundation. Their marketing says yes, the swatches say nooo.

I’ll just hang tight and wait for the rosy pink palette I ordered from Yesstyle.

While I know lots of owls are warmly brown colored, I really feel like the Night Owl palette should lean more cool-toned to match its name. Maybe cool browns, greys, and taupes with a dusty blue or purple and a dirty silver?

True pink is a mixture of red and white (no blue and no yellow added — mixing primary colors, okay?). So pinky-peach, by definition, must be a ‘warm pink’ or a ‘cool peach’. So follow along: Both describe the same color shade range (red, white and yellow)!!! I wear cool-based colors. I don’t wear peachy-pink or any other ‘cool peach’ shade. Keep yellow out of my pinks, please and thank you!!! So, the term pinky-peach makes me crazy. I admit it. The ad says: “Love Bird features romantic pinks and mauves.” So why does it include “PEACOCKY Shimmering peachy pink and FLOWER BOY Matte hot peachy pink,” TWO ‘COOL PEACH’ shades (which feature YELLOW), when the palette is described as including PINKS and mauves, and the other two palettes are warm-based? Why are peachy-pink shades necessary in a palette of ‘romantic pinks and mauves’? Why does market advertising do this? It’s crazy making. Just crazy making. Rant over. That felt good. Very good.

More warm neutral palettes from ColourPop? One with THREE pressed glitters? Noooo, really? I’m soooo surprised! – mock shock.

The only fun part is the shade names.

I wish these weren’t Ulta exclusives, I’m definitely liking the look of Night Owl and Birds of Paradise but being a New Zealander I can’t purchase from Ulta. I’ve been put off most of their recent palette launches due to the inclusion of the pressed glitters so was excited to see these two be free of glitter.

I believe ColourPop has brought a few “exclusives” to their site later on (almost like when the retailer decided to stop selling, lol), so here’s hoping!

Yep – I’m in New Zealand too and I picked up the Sweet Nothings and Rendezvous palettes earlier this year, which were originally Ulta exclusives – they didn’t stick around on the Colourpop site for long though!

I actually really like these. I found the mono 9 pans while were good ideas did not have enough depth. I personally don’t think a palette is completed without a deep, liner kind of shade. These three all have good shade range.

I am disappointed that these are paper packages with no mirrors. The plastic ones were perfect for traveling.

I agree that the plastic packaging is sturdier and I like it better from that point of view, but I think the cardboard packaging is better for the environment, and usually the design is prettier. I never use the mirror in any palette because I need magnification to do my eyes, which is frustrating, so the absence of a mirror doesn’t bother me.

OMG – Colour Pop slow down! It’s not a ‘release’ competition out there in the beauty market.
I spy lots of that plasticky glitter in the Love Bird palette and lots of familiar shades in the others.

These are really pretty palettes. That said, those pressed glitters need to go.

Night out is going to give Urban Decay’s Honey palette a run for it’s money lol. Put that next to the Honey palette and, TADA! You’ve got a nice shade range right there.

I’m assuming these are companions to the big new collection, Bye Bye Birdie that CP just released. They are in my Ulta cart already. Remember…there’s a 20% coupon out right now for Ulta.
