ColourPop Bae Super Shock Shadow
ColourPop Halo Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “golden champagne dusted with soft gold glitter [with a satin finish].” It’s a light-medium, yellowed beige with gold glitter over a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage, but it was a shade that needed two layers for full opacity. On me, it wore well for nine and a half hours without creasing or fading, but there was a smidgen of fall out.
It is part of the Not a Box of Chocolates set. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
ColourPop Game Face Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “penny copper [with a metallic finish].” It’s a deepened copper bronze with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had good pigmentation that went on smoothly and evenly, while remaining easy to blend. It wore well for ten hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
ColourPop Drift Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “true cranberry [with a pearlized finish].” It’s a medium-dark, berry-red with subtle warmer undertones and a light sparkle over a more pearly finish. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that was easy to use and blend out on the skin while retaining its intensity. I didn’t have any fading or creasing over a ten-hour period. It is part of the Not a Box of Chocolates set. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
ColourPop Bae Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “rich eggplant purple with an emerald and turquoise, glittery duo chrome [with a metallic finish].” It is a dark, plummy purple with warm undertones and bluish-teal sparkle and shimmer. The color payoff was intense, while the consistency was still smooth, blendable, and easy to use. This shade didn’t crease or fade over ten hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I’m so excited! I placed an order a little while ago and Bae was first on the list! 😀 I also got Animal, Bill, Girl Crush, Effect, and Hustle! *can’t wait*
Yayyyyy! So excited for you!!
I love that I can get a bunch to try without breaking the bank! I’m currently trying to resist the Melt Dark Matter Stack and wishing they were $5 each, too! haha
Ya know, I bought some of these and they are lovely, but I cannot figure out what brush(es) to use. People keep telling me to use my fingers yet my fat fingers aren’t nearly as precise as a brush! What have you been using?
I’ve used MAC’s 239 with success on most shades! The really, really glittery ones (like Glitterati) don’t cooperate as well that way, though I still had trouble using that even with a fingertip. Synthetic brushes may also work better.
I have had really good results using a dreaded sponge tip applicator of all things! lol
Me too. They work great with these shadows.
I find stiffer, flat synthetic brushes work great.
For the really tough ones, I use a spongetip applicator to tap the color onto my eyes. Then I wait a few seconds, then blend it out with a brush.
I hope that helps.
I’ve heard people say sponge tipped applicators work better than fingers.
Wow. These would be impressive even without considering the price point. Drift and especially Bae are catching my eye. I might have to pick a few of these up.
Bae is really cool!
wow, i love the look you put together! I was thinking halo is too yellow to be an inner corner highlight, but I was so wrong! I absolutely love how game face looks on the eye.
Thank you, Tugce! ;D
Wow, love the eye look you created!
Aw, thanks Katherine! Hope you’re having a great day!
The makeup look you made with these is gorgeous! Bae and Drift look like such cool shades.
Thanks, Lys! I really liked how Bae actually showed up with some of its nuances applied to lid (sometimes duochromes get lost when applied unless over something else, IMO!).
Bae looks so, so pretty!! I really dislike the name, though. Lol.
It makes me feel old, lol!
Bae is one of the shades I picked up last month when you posted swatches and I am in love with it! Glad you liked it too! The look you did with these is so pretty – I’ll have to try to recreate it myself.
What have you paired with it, Katie?
My absolute favorite ColourPop eyeshadow achieved a “Temptalia Recommends”?
I couldn’t be happier.
One that deserve an acrostic:
B – Beautiful
A – Awesome
E – Extraordinary
Nice!! Happy to hear you’re loving Bae as well 🙂 It’s a very unique shade.
I just got Bae and I love it!
It’s so cool, right? What did you wear it with?
Gorgeous look Christine! Wish these were available in UK 🙁
Thank you, Kate! Fingers crossed they’ll add UK to their distribution soon!
Ooh, look at Bae… o_O It’s dark, mysterious, sparkly and purplish. What’s not to love, really? 😀
I will have to seek out Bae! I love the duochrome, and I’m glad it didn’t lean so warm as to be another UD Lounge dupe.
Bae is so going onto my “to buy” list for my next ColourPoP order.
ColorPop should honestly send you all the shades to put up in the swatch gallery. Esp since they’d be an impressive dupe option for a so many shades
I love these so much, bae is amazing, I’m so sad I can’t get them in the UK. It’s been a long time since I was so heavily tempted by such as reasonably priced eyeshadow!
I’m starting to think my BAE shadow might be defected because for me it’s the least pigmented even though it’s still really creamy and has soft texture. Even if I swatch it a couple times, it doesn’t show up anywhere NEAR to your swatch. It still stains and is cool but pigmentation is the worst out of all the colourpops I own.
I have Drift and Halo and I love them! My only problem is I don’t have a ton of opportunities to wear such sparkly shadows so they sit untouched a lot 🙁 I would love to see reviews of Colour Pop’s new matte shades, I’m curious how they are compared to their original shades.
Any idea why Drift is LE?
I just got my shipment of colourpop products today and I’m SO happy with them. The eye shadows are so pigmented and the lipsticks apply so beautifully.
I love Bae! The name and color are so cute lol
Forgive me if you already mentioned this but are you using these shadows without a primer???
yayy!!! loved the look you created!! bae is one of the shades i ordered!1 so excited to try it now!!!
I have BAE, Rex, Shameless, and Lace, and BAE is definitely my favorite!
These colors are gorgeous! When you test these out, are you wearing an eyeshadow primer or something with it, or are you applying to a bare lid? Thanks!
I’d love to see what Bae looks like over a black base, probably awesome!
I want Bae!
Bae looks a really interesting colour, but I don’t think I could wear it. A shame. Your eye look is amazing Christine – it is really lovely.
OMG Bae is amazing. Need. Need. Need.
Lovely look, Christine! And such pretty colours.
Beautiful colors and application on you. Love the liner too.
Drift and Bae kick ass! I lost my mind and bought a whole back of ColourPop including some of the recently released mattes. These are two of my favourites from the haul wore them for Christmas.
Game Face doesn’t look too special in the swatch but OMG (!), it looks so great with the look you created, now I must get it!
The eye look is one the prettiest I’ve seen recently!
I feel that these shadows look very glittery in the swatches but in the eye look they look quite nice.
How do they compare with MakeUp Geek shadows?
I have all of these! I am stealing this gorgeous look you created! Are you using a brush or finger for these Christine?
Bae is a stunner.. the shine and duo-chrome looks is tempting.. <3
Drift and Game Face are so pretty! And Bae, oh my, what a beauty! And it looks so unique!
GORGEOUS. first word that came to my mind when I saw this look and now..thats the only word lol. It really is just so….gorgeous. Game face looks ridiculously beautiful in that look. I wavered and got desert and amaze which I also love. I thought Game face was too simlar to Buxoms golden retriever bt Ill have to get this one too ..along with some of their new mattes!
Wowzers!!! I absolutely love, want and definitely need BAE! That shade is totally out of this world gorgeousness. Love the look you created with these, too.
