ColourPop Gone Matte Palette Swatches
ColourPop Gone Matte Mega Palette launches tomorrow, the 16th, at 10AM PT. It is a 30-shade palette that includes all matte shades! I’m surprised to see another mega palette released after Smoke ‘n’ Roses last month, but this release makes so much sense. They’re more desaturated neutrals, and it should make for an excellent way to add in mattes into most looks (the quality seems to be there from initial use, but full review to come, of course!). There’s a good balance of light, mid-tone, and darker shades and each column has slightly warmer/cooler variation in undertone, too.
Now, I dare ColourPop to do it again… but give us some slightly desaturated colorful tones in an all-matte format; then you’ll have just about all the matte eyeshadows one could ask for. ๐
Oh, Christine, that was such a tease! Your palette is beautiful! I’d definitely buy that in a heartbeat. LOL! I was a little confused because I saw the first set of pictures, didn’t read, scrolled down to your colorful palette, and thought that was a second surprise palette that they released. I probably have similar shades in my collection, but it’s so pleasing to look at them all in one palette. Let’s hope Colourpop makes something similar one day.
We can hope! I mean, surely they’ll have to in order to find new things to put out ๐
I saw the one you designed before reading your entire post, and I was so excited! I wish that was real, for sure. I really hope they HEARD YOU! ๐
Oh how I wish they would make the de-saturated colorful matte palette like the one you posted. Hopefully they will see this post and get inspired. ๐
Right on the heels of your question yesterday about getting excited for eyeshadow palette releases — I’m psyched for this. I love the CP large format palettes and I love mattes. I will be picking this up as soon as it’s available. And if CP were to meet your challenge and create that colorful iteration, I’d be purchasing that, too!
This is one of the few mega palettes I’ve seen where I could use at least 80% of the colors, and mattes are my go-to, so this is definitely going to be a Christmas gift to myself!
Haha, you got me with the color mattes! I was almost fooled! I WISH CP would release something like that as it just makes sense! Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to your review!
Oh yeah, that ones coming home with me!! Perfect companion palette to my hoards of shimmery/sparkly/glitter palettes ๐
They done did it. They made a mega palette that I can be down with: I love it!
I scrolled down too fast and was fooled by the palette you wish existed! I said, I want it, I want it! Those colors in that shade range would be so useful!
I love your colorful, desaturated matte rendition! I would love to see something like this especially if each color row was its individual palette so we could pick and choose.
For all the matte shade lovers who want something to accompany their many shimmer, sparkly shades in useful neutral shades, this would be it.
I’m embarrassed to say I scrolled up and down three times looking for the swatches of the middle palette before I realized it was designed by Christine.
I prefer Christine’s dream palette over Colourpop’s actual release and I’ll hold out on purchasing until they release their collab with Christine that I know they see ๐
I’d encourage you to look at the Blend Bunny Surge palette if you’d like some desaturated pastels with grungier midtones and deep tones! It’s been working fabulously for me over the past couple months.
Your colorful version of the palette looks a lot like the Beauty Bay Bright Matte palette if anyone is interested! Itโs weird how colourpop doesnโt already have their own version considering color is in their brand name ๐
I must say I like the one Christine dreamed up a lot better than the neutral one from CP. I do like that they did do this palette, but it’s not for me, I’d still need to bring in lighter colours as the lightest doesn’t look light enough for what I need.
I also think it looks quite warm, but that could be my screen,
That said, I do look forward to the reviews.
