ColourPop ColourPop Land Collection Swatches
ColourPop x Candy Land ColourPop Land Collection released earlier this week in collaboration with the game, Candy Land. The collection includes a 10-pan eyeshadow palette, Roller Gloss, three Lip Balms, one loose highlighter, and three cream blushes.
You can use code TEMPTALIA for 10% off, which also gives me commission — it applies, generally, and seems to work on most new releases (though not Sailor Moon!).
That eyeshadow palette would be half ash city on me! Yikes, those are SUPER pale pastels. Hate to tell them, but the actual Candyland is filled with far more saturated, much brighter colors than this mess!
The SSC’s look cute, though. I may pick up Gumdrop Pass… maybe not, since I have Marc Jacobs Hot Stuff & Night Fever coming my way? Something tells me that they are close in actual tone, if not depth.
Agreed! It’s making me wonder if there’s a new Candyland game board out. The last one I saw was so saturated, rich and crazy I couldn’t actually look at the board.
Once again, this collection seems very light, and I’m perplexed by the glittery mattes.
I actually think the palette is rather cute. Not my scene though so pass.
Queen Frostine is…beige?
I have to admit that this plays into some major nostalgia for me. While a couple of the eyeshadows and the blushes appeal, it would mostly just be nostalgia and doesn’t seem like a good enough reason for me to order.
I am getting so very tired of ColourPop releasing new lip formulas/colors that all end up looking the same after application. What a waste.
Uhh, no, just no.
I am as pale as a white wall and I couldn’t pull off most of these shades but mostly because I am 66 years old with crepe eyelids and these would just emphasize the crepe. I do love pastel shadows and have the Viseart palette. The colours are more saturated so while pastel they work well and Viseart’s formula is so much better. Easy pass.
The title of this post is missing the word “Candy”
It’s not! The collection is called “ColourPop Land” 🙂
OMG….NOW I get it. The Land of Colourpop, as opposed to the Land of Candy. *face palm*
I think the collection is adorable, and the swatches look fine. However, everything is so light, that I don’t think it’ll really show up on my pale skin tone. I’ll pass.
I think nearly all of CP’s eyeshadow palettes are starting to look the same – the brand seems to just rotate its pastel shades. Disappointing.
I ordered this and the lip balm trio…not gonna lie it was probably mostly because of the theme and it being my favorite childhood game but we shall see.
I bought the PR set (!!!) but used your code. Thank you so much for the discount. Haven’t received it yet so curious how I will like it. I know all Colourpop palettes tend to look the same, but it’s one of my favorite formulas and it’s hard to create a look I don’t like with them. The rollerball lip gloss brought me back to childhood and the lip balms remind me of the benefit ones I used to love that I don’t think they make anymore (lollibalm, etc).
Thank you for using my code! 🙂 Hope you enjoy the set!
leftover from spring?
I can still hear the Candyland computer game soundtrack. 🙂 The blushes look really awesome!! Jolly is tempting…
I was thinking of picking up something from this collection, but not anymore – looks like the packaging is far more appealing than the actual product!
Ick, this collection is completely unwearable for anyone beyond an NC20! I love a sheer lip but this seems not so great.
When I woke up to see this collection on my feed I was pleasantly surprised by how cute everything was! I thought all of the products were beautiful, however the palette was calling my name. The four on the right side of the palette would make such a beautiful neutral look for me. I love the super shock formula so much. My only issue with them is that they seem to be pretty hard to pick up on a brush without putting a considerable dent in the pan. I enjoy using them on my fingers mainly. The pastels are so cute, very glad there’s no pressed glitter in this one. I am iffy about the glitter mattes though. Overall I’d say that this collection is pretty good, but it won’t really matter when they release twelve more in a week lol. I used your code ?️??️?
Thank you!!
So I thought this collection was rather cute, but I only use pastels in the spring and I already own a few really well rated palettes, etc. However, just to grab a piece of nostalgia, I went ahead and ordered the Gumdrop Pass Supershock blusher, the Let’s Chill lip balm and the Queen Frostine highlighter powder.
I never received the Queen Frostine powder and I can honestly say I’m glad I didn’t. I have some amazing highlighters and I would have prob used this more for a body highlight anyway…and I already have some UD powders.
However, I have to say that I love the Gumdrop Pass blusher and the balm. The balm is fantastic and it gives a greay wash of color to an everyday appearance. I keep it in my purse for any needs since I wear a mask most of the time so when I’m somewhere where I dont have to, I can swipe this on for color without needing to use a mirror. And its just a lovely color.
As for the Gumdrop Pass, I can see how you rated it a D since its hard to tell if any gets on the blush. But I do have to say that its very beginner friendly in the sense that you have to work to build it up. I love the color it gives me (im light skinned with dark hair). This is my first supershock blusher so I was worried at first that mine wasn’t as pigmented as I’ve been told they are…but your review makes sense to me. One thing to note is that this is PACKED with fragrance. I like it, but sensitive skin peeps beware.
