ColourPop Citrus Fizz Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Citrus Fizz
ColourPop Citrus Fizz Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes a golden shimmery eyeshadow, peach matte eyeshadow, brown matte eyeshadow, and golden peach “glitter metallic” shade, which was listed as not for use around the eye area (it included plastic, or PET, glitter in the ingredient list). All four shades were pigmented, blendable, and lasted for eight hours, though the glittery shade had noticeable fallout during application.

Squeezed
Squeezed is a very light and bright, golden beige with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in one layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was lightly emollient, dense but not too thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Zestful
Zestful is a medium, golden peach with strong, warm undertones and a metallic finish with flecks of micro-glitter strewn throughout. The texture was lightly emollient, moderately dense but had light fallout due to the glitter particles. Per the brand, this shade is not intended for use on the eye area. It had rich pigmentation that wore decently for eight hours and didn’t seem to have additional fallout as there was little glitter left after initial application and blending.

So Tart
So Tart is a medium peach with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was smooth to the touch, velvety and more substantial, which ensured full color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin but still blended out with ease. It stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of wear.

Peel Away
Peel Away is a medium, golden brown with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff in a single layer, which could be built up to full coverage but performed the best over an eyeshadow primer. The texture was finely-milled and soft, but it had some powderiness that resulted in the color sheering out a bit as it was blended out. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

I do like the colour story in this quad the best and all the shades rate well – Zestful is my favourite shade.
Maybe it’s just me but I don’t understand the rationale to include a color in an eyeshadow quad that is not supposed to be used in the eye area (I think it says not intended for use in the immediate eye area). Plus Zestful is not really a shade that can be used for anything else (browbone, highlight or blush) in my opinion.
