Clionadh Cosmetics Woodlands Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 1)
Sprite
Clionadh Sprite Matte Eyeshadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a very light, yellowy-green with warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency felt more cream-like; dense and velvety with minimal fallout, and it had excellent adhesion to bare skin despite being a very light tone (and matte), which are often prone to fallout or sheerness. It had opaque coverage that lasted well for eight hours on me before I noticed slight fading.

Formula Overview

There do not appear to be any specific claims made for the brand's regular eyeshadow range, so being held to typical industry claims (as well as looking at the brand swatches), I'd expect rich pigmentation along with being blendable. The brand has an assortment of finishes, and the price point varies from finish to finish and has some variance within finish as well, but they tend to range from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD, which converts to around $5.00 to $7.00 USD.
The matte formula is more velvety, dense, and substantial, so a little can go a long way and they are more powdery in the pan. I find these denser types of formulations are better at adhering to bare skin and often retain more intensity after blending, which was true of Clionadh's formula. There were a few shades that I felt were harder to work with and tended to apply unevenly or disappear, though, but most of them were easy to work with, opaque, and long-wearing (around eight hours without primer).

Bramble
Clionadh Bramble Matte Eyeshadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium, olive green with moderate, more muted warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, velvety, and somewhat powdery, so you’ll want to go in with a lighter hand to avoid excess product kicked up.
It had rich color coverage in a single pass, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Poison Ivy
Clionadh Poison Ivy Matte Eyeshadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a muted, medium green with subtle, warm olive undertones and a matte finish. It had full color payoff that applied evenly to my lid and diffused easily along the edges.
The texture was moderately powdery, though it was velvety and more substantial, so while there was light fallout, I managed to retain the intensity even when blended along the edges. It wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Faun
Clionadh Faun Matte Eyeshadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium yellow with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had a denser, more velvety consistency that was substantial and had better adhesion to bare skin, so it retained most of its full coverage when applied and blended out along the edges (not normally the case with a shade this light).
The only issue I had was that there was some powderiness in the pan and a smidgen of fallout during application if I wasn’t careful. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Nectar
Clionadh Nectar Matte Eyeshadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark coral-orange with warmer, reddish undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was moderately powdery, so I’d highly recommend using a lighter hand when working with it and gently pressing/patting into place, then blending it out to avoid fallout during application.
It had opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well, though I felt like it sheered out a bit without a primer underneath. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Wildberry
Clionadh Wildberry Matte Eyeshadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a brighter, dark pink with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good color payoff in one layer, but it was more difficult to diffuse and blend out evenly.
I found that this shade seemed to disappear the more I tried to blend it out, and it did not seem to layer well with other matte shades, unlike most that I tried from the brand. The consistency was somewhat powdery and not as dense/velvety as well. It lasted for eight hours before fading visibly.

Dahlia
Clionadh Dahlia Duochrome Eyeshadow ($4.80 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium orange-coral with strong, warm undertones and lots of gold shimmer over a metallic finish. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer more.
The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and perhaps a touch more emollient than ideal. It applied fairly evenly but was best applied in a pressing/patting motion and then blended out. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

The more shimmery formulas were similar; they tended to be dense, lightly creamy, and blendable with excellent pigmentation and minimal chance of fallout. Some of the more sparkly shades felt more loosely-pressed while a few metallics were more emollient to the touch. They typically wore between eight and eight and a half hours on me before fading visibly (without primer).

I remember when Tarababyz swatched the Woodlands bundle in one of her videos a few years ago that I was very impressed with the pigmentation and interesting shades in this bundle. And now, seeing yours, all that comes back to me and it is up for consideration to purchase yet again!
For all the matte movers and shakers, these are jolly good. Personally, I love the Dahlia shade – that soft peach goes with every darker shade.
I’m impressed. Those mattes look so rich.
