Clinique Solar Pop Powder Pop Flower Bronzer Review & Swatches

Solar Pop
Clinique Solar Pop Powder Pop Flower Bronzer ($32.50 for 0.31 oz.) is a light brown with strong, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to full opacity with a second layer, so it seemed a little more pigmented than marketed but not far off.
The texture was smooth to the touch, firmer and denser without being stiff to work with but needed a moderately-dense brush to pick up product evenly. The advantage to the firmer texture, which is typical of gel-powder formulas like this one, is there was no powderiness present, so the powder sat beautifully on bare skin with a diffused, ultra-blended edge. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Great touch to use a field of their blush imprints. Remember when Clinique design, while aimed at the young, was actually quite stodgy?
How cute! I wish I had gotten this instead of its dupe, Urban Decay Sun-Kissed. I love the smooth finish of these!
The finish on this is perfect! The shade, however, is a little too orange for me I think. But, perhaps I could use it as a blushing bronzer?
Looks so pretty! I’d use it as a blush as you did here. I love this natural look.
Iβm torn because it seems to have a kind of rosy undertone (do you think, Christine?) whereas I prefer a more golden, almost orangey (believe it or not) tone. Itβs a gorgeous blushy bronzer on you.
But that said, it could be amazing applied across my nose and cheeks for summer. I am looking for a summery blush and I know I love the formula.
It is a little rosy for sure! π
The finish and color is absolutely gorgeous! I have been looking for a blushy bronzer and since my skin is just a smidge lighter than yours Christine I believe this is perfect! I’m going to look for a deal as I haven’t been working and there are cheaper dupes but this might be worth the investment: I’ve been terrified that I would run out of my current blush bronzer.
Sephora’s sale is coming up shortly, 4/17 if you’re Rouge and then later on in April for VIB/Insider! Haven’t seen these anywhere else yet but who knows!
I just went on Sephora and found both. I added them to my basket. I have the Becca bronzer dupe which works well for me but is getting a little old. May hold on to the Clinique until later in the season. Have to buy it now for 20% off though.
I’m pretty much done trying out new bronzers. They almost always go very red on my skin and look really unflattering (Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer is the only one that seems to work), this one looks like it would too. I am still very much digging these pan designs from Clinique.
