The Sultry Season: Cle de Peau #114 Extra Silky Lipstick

Cle de Peau #114Extra Silky Lipstick ($52.00 for 0.07 oz.) was almost too light to include in the Sultry Season, but I just couldn’t resist.  It’s this perfect shade of darkened coral that works well in the fall.  It lacks the typical brightness of a lot of summer corals.  There’s this touch of brown that darkens it just enough so it’s a bit like the changing colors of the leaves to me.   I love the way Extra Silky Lipsticks wear:  ultra moisturizing, three to five hours of wear, and always flattering.  I haven’t met a shade that wouldn’t work on a variety of skin tones.

Is this the right coral/brown for you? Would you wear it?

The Sultry Season is a series of posts featuring deep, rich shades of brown, berry, plum, and wine lipsticks and lipglosses — just right for autumn — that runs through October 2010.

I love the finish but that color wouldn’t work for me. Will definitely check out what other colors they offer. Looks gorgeous on you, Christine.

That looks beautiful on you! 🙂 I would love to try this colour.

I love a lot of the Cle de Peau lipsticks you’ve featured. But unfortunately, we can’t get them here in the UK yet (as far as I know) and they are defo on the pricey side! (haha!)

There has to be a much cheaper dupe out there even if the wear of it is only 1-2 hours I could care less! This is such a pretty color! UGH! Why does is have to be so expensive?!?!?!?

Very pretty, but I would never fork out that much for a lipstick. This costs more than my water and electricity AND my telephone account combined!!!

PS:
Sorry I lied. I would pay that much for Laprairie Rosebronze and ONLY that. 🙂

U should get Kanebo Lavschuca Rouge Melting lipstick at a fraction of price. It’s exactly like the spendy Cle de Peau ones. It’s very common in Japan, this kind of lipstick. Planning to buy more of those Lavschuca and it’s pigmented, cuter packaging, too. ;-))

I’m in love with these CDP extra silky lipsticks. They moisturize for hours and the colors are so universally flattering. I will definitely pick up 114 for fall. I also am searching for a deep berry/plummy color for fall. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Just drop by to tell you that I’ve just checked this out and…SUPERB!!!

Lovely shade, glides on very smoothly, hugs lips, and ULTRA moisturizing!

Thank you for reviewing this <3
