Cle de Peau 104 Purity Eye Color Duo Review, Photos, Swatches
104 Purity
Cle de Peau 104 Purity Eye Color Duo ($55.00 for 0.15 oz.) contains a muted, medium-dark mauvey purple paired with a very light pink. The two worked well together for a soft eye look, and there was enough contrast between the two that they could be used as a standalone look. I
The formula is supposed to have a “silky” feel, be moisturizing on the lids (though it is a powder formula), long-wearing, and have true-to-pan color. I like the effect of Cle de Peau’s eyeshadows on the lid; I think that “moisturizing” aspect of them makes them sit well on the lid as time passes, where they meld well to bare skin. I find that they can be semi-opaque to opaque, more buildable and very easy to wear as a wash of color, if desired. The eyeshadows are rose-scented, though I only just noticed the scent with the compact open but not applied.
As a FYI, Cle de Peau sells the duos as a pan-only, which is not magnetized but you could stick a magnet to it so it would adhere to most freestyle palettes, or purchase their case for $25.

PPermanent. $55.00.
Purity (Left)
Purity (Left) is a muted, grayish purple with gold shimmer. It had good color coverage, though the consistency was a little dustier than normal and more prone to sheering out, so it was hard to maintain that coverage level without a good primer underneath. The eyeshadow wore well for seven hours on me before fading.

PiPPermanent in Palette.
Purity (Right)
Purity (Right) is a bright, pinkish white with a frosted sheen. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin. The consistency was soft, silky, and finely-milled and was just a smidgen dry. On me, the color started to fade after seven hours of wear.

This looks pretty hard to overdo!
True!
Very pretty duo! Enough so that I’m going to try to *finally* go for either Tarina Tarantino Fantastical or Nars Thessalonique. Something about these types of mauvey/ plummy eyeshadows always makes my eyes sparkle!
Man, I wonder if Fantastical is still available? I know there are still bits and pieces of the line being sold, lol.
I’m doomed!! I ADORE that purpley mauvey shade. It would look so stunning on my light brown/hazel eyes me thinks!!
I’m just worried that my oily lids would chow down on this formula!! I’ll have to see if I can test these out hmmm
Definitely try to test, Shannon! I could see oily lids “eating” these!
I like this, but wonder if it would get lost on my hooded eyes and look too shimmery monotonal. I recently saw a gorgeous CdP quad which is calling me called Fairy Dust (brighter with more contrast).
I like their quads a lot, and while still pricey, a better value than the duos!
Beautiful sophisticated shades, but I don’t like how the brand only sells them in a pan – I would think this would be quite annoying, after all their eye shadows are expensive.
You can get them in a compact, but the compact is extra 🙁
I just did an Inglot haul in Delhi with quite a few pinky/mauve-y shades like this.
I like wearing these sorts of colors because they really make my rather muddy hazel/green/gold/gray eyes look like a brilliant forest green.
I’ve never tried Inglot so I’ll see how it goes. I really should just buy the UD Naked 3 palette as that’s the colors I love to wear anyway.
Very spring-like!
