Clarins Rouge Eclat Collection for Spring 2013

Love the lipstick the model is wearing (and I tend to love Clarins’s lipstick formulas in any case) and I also love the look of the eye shadow palette, not that it’s all that unique but still, I love the look and the 3 neutrals and a bright.

I came here to say just this. People often say ” Its about the make up- who cares about the images?” Well it is advertising and its powerful! This image looks exceedingly alienesque and off putting. I am very influenced by images, if I don’t like an ad campaign I really won’t bother. I also do have a whole bedroom full of makeup so it’s not as though I’m in *need* of anything but nonetheless the face for a campaign can be enough to stop me from further investigating the collection. Again, I don’t worry about missing anything because I already have so much. But I form very strong opinions very quickly based on image- for instance if Terry Richardson was to photograph a campaign, I’d give it an automatic Pass.

I actually don’t think she looks that shopped. Her skin’s been touched up, and I think some colors adjusted around her eyes, but mostly I think that’s just her. I showed the picture to a friend who works with images and her take was that she looks alien below the neck, something off with her shoulders and the skin on her right shoulder, but her face really wasn’t that bad.

I agree with you Blueraccoon, I actually think she looks pretty…I liked the promo picture. This shows we all have diverse perceptions and opinions.

I agree that she doesn’t look badly photoshopped. Her lips are slightly asymetric and her nose and lips don’t line up perfectly, as I might have expected with photoshopping. I think her lips are just amazing. Wish mine could ever look that lovely.

I feel like the face palette looks very similar to previous ones they’ve released, but it’s still very pretty and tempting me to pick it up. And I’m curious about the new lipstick.

Gorgeous, very interested in Clarins as of lately, they are really improving, I hope to see the reviews of a few of this products, particularly the lipsticks, hope Clarins backs this up with good quality products 😀 .

The eye palette is so pretty! I also love the colours and the model’s style. I only wish I could pull it off without making my eyes red (red-toned purples have that effect on me, despite green eyes).
What I surely will seek out though, is the lipstick tone she is wearing on that promo shot!

I bought Sweet Rose lipstick and Palette Eclat blush, both are stunning and very wearable. Surprisingly the eye shadow quad really didn’t impress me, the colors are easily duped for far less and IMO didn’t look impressive with the other items in the collection.
