Christian Louboutin Beaute Hawaii Kawaii Collection for Spring 2016
Even though I would never drop $90 on a nail polish trio, I must say that first set, with that has the gorgeous aqua and coral-pink, would definitely be my jam if I did! I actually have colors like those already: Orly Gumdrop and Revlon Coral Me Wild.
(I still think those Louboutin bottles could be great for self-defense!) ?
Cool idea! I especially like the box with the black background. Very chic. But I still can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on $90 nail polish.
Well, at least it’s $90 for 3 and not $90 each polish.
They are minis, lol! I mean, if one was going to go Louboutin for polish and the idea of $50 for one makes you die a little inside (because I do understand!), three for $90 isn’t bad, and the box is nice (assuming you like the aesthetic).
Lovely idea, but they look highly dupable. The colours are really not very original. The paper decorations look more exiting than the colours of the polish.
Prestige high end nail polish prices make me cringe. The shades are gorgeous, but PMS dupeable. I too like the pattern of the box. lol
But for LV fans a steal.
The packaging is cute if you like the retro Hawaii look, but $90 for trial size, miniature nail polishes??? These look like they will be gone in a few coats, or maybe they are meant to be a collector’s item, look only, no use.
My wallet is sobbing right now. Never have I felt like I needed something so frivolous before haha. This packaging and the shades are stunning!!
So disappointed, but not because of the price. I hope that I don’t get blasted by those who don’t believe in the price point since I respect how others spend their money.
I’m so disappointed in this collection after Scarabee. It seems like a cop-out to hit the permanent collection for colors. I’ve got 5 of the 6 of these since it’s my favorite formula (and only one that lasts more than 1 day).
For those discussing the size, if they’re equal to prior special collections, its equal to the top/base coats. It’s plenty large.
Lovely colours – but way too expensive……
I am puzzled by this marketing statement: “The bright hues will bring a little bit of warmth and a samba mood to every woman’s fingertips.” This collection is inspired by Hawaii. What does the samba have to do it? How about a hula mood instead?
What the….you are right! I know it’s petty but it kinda bugs me! And you think a company charging $50 per bottle of nail polish or $90 for 3 minis would pay meticulous attention to detail.
Do you know if they will become available at Sephora at any point (like the previous limited edition set)?
That first trio is very nice for warmer weather but I’d skip it due to cost!
I’d like to have the flowery pattern from the inside of the dark box as a pillowcase. It would look fantastic in my couch.
The nailpolishes didn’t excite me, just not my type of nail colours. Though ot’s always hard to tell from a promophoto.
Those colors don’t particularly scream “Hawaii” to me, especially that deep red and the black…
As a huge Christian Louboutin fan (both the shoes and beauty products) I’m going to get this for sure… The rouge Louboutin nail polish and lipstick are my signature colors when I’m in drag. The polish is good quality and to my own surprise the huge spike is very easy to apply with.
