Take a Walk on the Wild Side with This Teal

China Glaze Exotic Encounters Nail Lacquer ($3.00 to $7.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “lush green creme with blue undertones.” It reads as a dusty green-teal with a cream finish on me. Not a dupe, but reminiscent in the kind of color family, Rescue Beauty Lounge Jack has a similar green-teal coloring but is much, much darker. MAC Screening Room is much bluer. Though blue, Illamasqua Muse had a similar dusted quality.  I was surprised to find that I could not discover any dupes within polishes I’ve reviewed–none of three I mentioned in the post are dupes.

The color was mostly opaque in two coats (there is just a shadow of the nail line visible at times), and it had a really great consistency: creamy, not too thick or too thin, and flowed well across the nail without pooling along the sides, bubbling, or streaking.   I typically get a week of wear with minor tip wear but no chipping with China Glaze’s formula.  The polish retails for $7, but you can find it at various e-tailers for under $4 (the one linked in the post sells this shade for $3).

Christine! I have been sitting here at work and making a list of the current polishes I have, that would go with this colour. I have a very long list going. I guess I should be doing some work too 😡

IF I end up getting this colour and doing a mani with it, I’ll share it with yall lovlies.

I have this and I adore it, but I was not prepared for the removal the first time I wore it. My nails were stained so, so badly, I couldn’t believe it. That’ll teach me not to bother with a base coat, I guess!

$3? That’s insane! We pay about £6-7 here, about $14!

I have this, along with a few other polishes from this collection, and I adore them.

But $3!!!!!! I feel robbed 😛

I’ve never found China Glaze in the UK but this colour looks similar to one of the new L’Oreals in Blue Reef/613. Not sure if you have that colour in the US though!

This is lovely. Once again I’ll be on the hunt for a gel polish dupe 🙂 But we haven’t started seeing the gel fall collections yet, so I have hopes. (I also have a fantastic nail tech who always seems to know exactly what I want on my nails *g*)

I go every two weeks but I probably could stretch to three if I had to – I have gel enhancements, too, so it’s a fill/polish combo. I could do three weeks but I was finding my nails were chipping more at three weeks and they were getting too long to deal with, so I switched to going every two weeks.
