Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 Lipsticks ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is the follow-up to the original Hot Lips collection. There are five new KISSING and five new Matte Revolution shades, along with a lip balm (which I didn’t buy). Here are swatches of the 10 new shades!

I bought Glowing Jen (with case) and Viva La Vergara (refill). I adore Glowing Jen; it’s the perfect tawny brown shade on me, which was a pleasant surprise as CT lipsticks are hit or miss for me. Viva La Vergara is a flat wine shade and close to Bond Girl, which I own. On me, it’s nothing special.
The lipstick felt dry on the first few wears. Thankfully, I can change the shade and texture with a lip liner. I do wish you could choose your case.

Fyi, Hot Lips 2 (lipsticks in cases) have arrived at Net-A-Porter and are retailing there for $31.

What is the refill casing like? It’s really hard to see in the pictures. eg. what are the caps like, do they have the names on them? Im thinking of getting a few, with the shades I’d like sometimes but won’t wear as often as refills, to change with a more every day shade’s outer casing but want to know how well it will store in just the inner casing long term.

Hi Evi, the refill cartridges are 2″ high and the plastic cap that goes over the refill is 1″ long, so it covers half the cartridge. The cap fits snuggly over the cartridge. I’ve been keeping mine in a drawer with other makeup I’m using and have had no problems. The name of the refill is very faintly stamped on the side of the cartridge The refill comes in standard CT lipstick packaging just in a smaller size and has the shade name on the top of the package. If I had more than one refill and didn’t use them regularly, I’d be tempted to keep the refill in its box for easy identification and extra protection purposes. Note that the lipstick that comes with the case *does not* have the shade name written on the cartridge but rather on the bottom of the lipstick case. This is an obvious design flaw but I raise it in case you intend to swap lipsticks in and out of a single case. The lipstick in the case comes in a lovely box, with the shade name on the top, and could be used for storage.

Michelle Wang has a good YouTube video that shows the lipsticks in the case(s) and the refills in some detail. Let me know of you have further questions!

Bought Glowing Jen and In Love with Olivia, beautiful all season colors, very flattering, and the bullet tubes are to die for. Hoping that the original Hot Lips will become available in refills because these are some of my favorite formulas. Great charity cause too!

the clear balm also has the same packaging as Angel Alessandra, I’m not sure if that is helpful info to consider, but since they are switchable, you may find more use for a clear balm than a colour you aren’t sure you’d use.

Hi guys I’m looking for a really nice red with an orangey finish and everyone is praising CT lipsticks so should I go for a Red Hot Susan or a Tell Laura?

I’m not sure how soon I’ll be buying them-I have other things I’ve been eyeing for longer and will probably buy those first-but I’m drawn to Amazing Amal, Patsy Red, and Viva La Vergara.
