Chanel Water-Fresh Blush Swatches (x5)
Chanel Water-Fresh Blush is a new liquid blush formula that is available in six shades! There was one shade (Light Pink) that was already sold out when I made my purchase, so I only have five of the six shades swatched. They did apply a lot better on my skin, in practice, than the initial swatches would otherwise indicate. I would recommend pumping a small amount (the smallest you can manage) onto the back of your hand or a metal spatula, then use a brush to swirl and mix. Fingers did not mix up the water and pigment bits well!
Also, I noticed that they looked very same-same applied with respect to color and tone when I tried them, so I’d just get one that would show up best on one skin’s tone as they are quite sheer.

Oh wow! These actually do have a wonderful look when applying them to cheeks as opposed to arm swatches!
I’m partial to Deep Apricot and Deep Bronze. Might get one!
I really wanted to love this, but mixing up a blush everyday is just too much work for me!
I think this works like Rose…the spheres, which are tiny, start to break down a bit with heat (?). The Rose product works well whether you squirt it in your hand or pump it on the back of your hand with a brush. Not streaky, but then it’s quite sheer. I’ve also applied with fingers. As to these, Kendrick, yeah, they all look the same, plus they’re terrible. Quality:price ratio does not cut it
These cost way too much for them all to be looking the same.
It sounds to me like a new gimmick – ‘now how many ways can we get people to apply their blush?’ kind of thing. I think it would be the last thing you would want to do on a busy morning getting ready for work…. One would hope that they do apply better to the cheeks than from what you can see in the arm swatches….I guess you can tell I am not a fan of this kind of product.
I have this line and I absolutely love it. It feels good on the skin and it gives a water color effect. On my golden NC30/35 skintone, I do have color differentiation and it looks like I’ve gone for a walk outside — I ended up getting warm pink, intense coral and deep bronze. I live in the south and with the intense heat I really gravitate toward these kind of products. I’ve been wearing this line a lot for work – I love the skin tint as well.. These are a winner for me.
Clearly, the swatches on the skin and face are not the same color. But…They also are like the same color.
I just got mine in Warm Pink. I tried it over my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (repurchase) which was in the same order. On my NC30 neutral olive skin with shade 40 foundation it was heavenly. Just a healthy glow. The little particles dissolved easily on the back of my hand. No sign of them in a 10x hand mirror. It’s a lovely, decadent product. Certainly not a must have, but I’m glad I bought it.
I felt some of the new “clean range” of beauty from Chanel a couple of weeks ago in person. They’re….kind of unsophisticated for the price tag. It isn’t surprising, but it does mean I won’t bother looking further at the offerings.
In the photos the swatches aren’t very impressive, but in videos I’ve seen, these seem nice! I wish the color range was better though.
