I just love this collection and I’m going to purchase the JC blush, the loose powder, the quad, the lipstick and nail polish. It’s my favourite Holiday 2012 collection along with Dior Grand Bal and to a lesser extent the Two Faced, M.A.C, Nars and also Clarins collections.

I’m sooo looking forward to this collection. I find it hard to pass any Chanel makeup collection these days. This one will be available around my birthday so I’m very excited. 🙂

after staring at the promo pic some more I have to add… that EYESHADOW QUAD! OMG THE BLUSH! And DANNGG WHAT A LIPSTICK!

haha, it’s been a long time since I’ve wanted practically every item out of a collection, I’m going to have a field day with this one!

I want the lipstick and the quad. I can’t wait for it to launch. The model looks like she might be a NC20-25 which is what I am and I think the lipstick will be smashing. Yeah, I think I can pull the look off.

I would love to know how this joues contraste compares with Narcisse. The quad is very pretty, but I do not seem to have a lot of success with Chanel quads although I would eventually love to get my hands on Topkapi. Topkapi seemed to be a little more dramatic than their usual muted shades which are too muted for my tastes the majority of time. I like the looks of the matte lip and the dark blood red nail enamel.

I want it alllll. But I want to see how pigmented the Glossimers are because I may want two or three of them, and I want the blush, and I’m on the fence about the lipstick…I think I’d be too self-conscious to wear it!

I am going to be so broke come october. I love fall/winter makeup and all the vampy colors that come along with it. That nail polish looks amazing!!

Celeste Cirinna Avatar

Though I loved the Fall 2012 collection, I’ll be leaving this one. The quad is too shiny, the lipstick is too dark and I already have two blushes.

Zulaikha Avatar

The matte lipstick is so pretty, the prefect fall color.i wanna see swatches of the glossimers, and the eyeshadows in the quad look pretty but dupeable, but lets not judge a book by its cover.

OMG, the quad!!! I just fell in love. I’ll have to call at my local counter to ask when this comes out in Germany, and reserve it. This would be perfect for holiday makeup looks.

Like almost everyone else, I’m eager to see if you do a review, Christine. I know some of Chanel’s quads have been disappointing, especially considering the price point (poor pigmentation and not unique enough to justify the cost). I’m also concerned, personally, that 2 of the shadows might be too red-toned for me (I struggle with Ebloui, as an indication of how careful I have to be with anything red around the eyes). Gorgeous looking collection, though!

I can’t wait to see what that lipstick looks like. I’m loving the way it looks in the bullet, but it looks more berry than red on the model’s lips. I sincerely hope that that is not a accurate representation of the lipstick because yay a vampy red that does not lean plum or berry! I wish there was a picture of the new Illusion d’Ombre! I heart that gold camellia on the model.

As beautiful as this collection looks, I can’t personally justify any of these products at this pricepoint. Perhaps if I didn’t have such a large stash already, were a big fan of Chanel, or didn’t already still have a few items on my “wish list”, I would take a look at the quad, polish, & matte lipstick (all of which ar “me” shades, so I likely have similar already). Perhaps if Christine does reviews/swatches, my mind *can* change.

That blush reminds me of Mac’s Warm Soul…one of my favorites! Maybe a bit lighter?? Definitely want to see swatches and a review of that one. Also the powder. Not really understanding the concept. :/

I’m a sucker for Chanel quads so this one will be mine. That nail polish is stunning!! It may make it home with me and the quad, too. I wish I could pull off dark lipsticks like the model. It looks amazing on her. Must resist the urge for yet another lipgloss! My current collection is absolutely ridiculous!! 😛

I’m dying over the lipstick and quad, just gorgeous, I just don’t think I’d personally get enough use out of those colors here in Florida to justify the price, like every time I see a beautiful wool coat I want but know I’ll maybe wear once a year, I guess I’ll have to just enjoy the pictures.

The collection is amazing but I think that I must read more reviews about it to convince me of buying these products since they really cost a lot. I wish that you give us reviews on these products, Christine…pleeeasssee.

This looks delish… CHANEL recently changed the formula for their eyeshadow quads. NOT what they used to be. Very disappointed, if enough people complain I’m hoping they will change it back to what it used to be. I was a Chanel junkie… now I will stick to the lipsticks and glosses because I do find them superior to most brands.

noma Avatar

Thanks for the review. Could you recomend a lipstick to match the nailpolish? I didn’t find the lipstick in this collection to match it for medium skintones.

Hi Christine,

1st off I wanna thank you for replying to a previous question; i have yet to try the bobbi brown high shimmer gloss (been busy with exams)

anyways, I have a question on Rouge Coco Shines – are you able to compare them to the YSL rouge volupte? I was wondering which one you think is better?

I have 2 rouge coco shines (Romance and Sari d’eau) and I like them a lot but before I go buy some more, I wanna know your opinion on YSL’s rouge volupte if they are better
