Chanel Announces Lift Lumiere in February 2009

WWD reports that Chanel is coming out with a new foundation and concealer line come February 2009.  It is called Lift Lumière.

“The Lift Lumière launch fits into the framework of the general Chanel foundation strategy to provide every customer segment the perfect foundation with exceptional quality,” said Dagousset. “The new foundation and concealer provides antiaging benefits without compromising coverage.”

The foundation contains a complex to help protect collagen and elastin, as well as “Liftoptic,” that has spherical silicone powders (hmm, sounds familiar!) and “photochromatic” pigments to keep your foundation color looking the same in any light–now that I like.  The concealer will also have tetrapeptide to aid in the reduction in fluid build-up under the eyes.  The foundation will retail for $65 with nine shades, while the concealer retails for $45 with three shades.

I’ve never used Chanel foundation — anyone else?  Loved it, hated it?  Which one did you try?

sorry i guess that wasn’t a very interesting comment… the textures are nice and the coverage is very good.

i’ve also tried the teint innocent in the cream compact version but it was alright… the coverage is very light so it doesn’t do much for me by my sister likes it.

This is already out in the UK too! I tested it in store on my hand and it’s a very high coverage, thick and creamy foundation. And the concealer is rather opaque too. I’d say it’s more suited for dry skins and older skin types.
