I use a stippling brush (like MAC's 159 or 188) to apply to the skin, and then I blend out with fingertips.

Tom Ford Blushes, Guerlain Rouge G Lipsticks, Chikuhodo brushes. Anything extremely expensive always seems like there's no way it can be as good as they think it is, but when they really knock it out of the park, it's awesome.

Dip a pencil eyeliner into a gel eyeliner to apply, rather than use a brush! Otherwise... wear whatever you want, regardless of whether it technically "flatters" you - because if it makes you happy when you wear it, that's what matters!

Marc Jacobs Shooting Stars was a surprise hit for me - I really liked it. In general, I shy away from brown-based lip colors (I think it is all the backlash for "90s" colors I see), but I find I quite like them on me.
