I usually apply with a tapered, moderately dense brush about medium in size, like the Wayne Goss #2. I tap along the cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose, on the cupid’s bow, and just below the center of my bottom lip.
I used to feel like they were all too big, and often, almost all the same shape, but now, I feel like we have so much variety in brush shapes, sizes, and styles to choose from that I have no general rants. I do prefer flatter, moderately dense brushes for loose powder, though!Â

Years ago, I contoured my cheeks on a near-daily basis, but these days, I don’t usually contour. The irony is probably that I needed less contouring then compared to now!
