If it smudges or flakes while I’m wearing, I’m pretty annoyed. I don’t want to worry about the state of my mascara while wearing it unless I’ve sobbed on someone’s shoulders! I prefer mascaras that wash away without too much extra effort.

I so rarely wear it that I don’t really have any major rants! I think it can be a useful step for anyone who has skin that seems to break down foundation quickly or needs extra-long wear.

I like ’em all — subtle, moderate, intense — and I don’t mind fine pearl to high-shine to glittery finishes, either. What I do want is really even, smooth application that can highlight without being too emphasizing of skin texture.

I really do not like when brands throw sparkle into an otherwise matte eyeshadow. I really find it pointless as the sparkles do not bind with the base color, so there’s unnecessary fallout… it’s like it’s there just to be pretty in the pan and that’s a pass for me. I think an eyeshadow...
