I use them either as a quickie one-shadow kind of look, and then I tend to go for beiges or golds and just blend past the crease so it fades, or as an eyeshadow base.

I like to apply them over a tacky base, either a cream eyeshadow or something mixed with MAC's Mixing Medium. Then, pat rather than sweep it onto your lid!
