UOMA Beauty Regal Hypnotic Impact High-Shine Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light, peachy brown with warmer, yellow undertones and a glossy finish with faint pearl. It had semi-sheer pigmentation, which wasn’t too buildable, and was more prone to settling into my lip lines.

It did not appear as yellow/warm-toned applied as my natural lip color muted it a bit. The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and creamy with more of a balm-like slip to it. This shade lasted for two and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

The reformulation is described as having a "buildable wash of color" with "reflective sheen" that is "moisturiz[ing]." They had semi-sheer coverage, which was somewhat buildable to medium coverage, but the tones were closer to my natural lip color and were often difficult to discern from one shade to the next as a result (and your mile may vary depending on your natural lip color).

The texture was smooth, balmy, and had moderate slip, but there was a light tackiness present to it that helped the product stay in place a bit better and still feel comfortable. They lasted around three hours on average but were hydrating.

There was a faint, fruity-floral scent but no discernible taste.

UOMA Beauty Divine Hypnotic Impact High-Shine Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium, plummy brown with subtle, warm undertones and barely-there gold pearl through a glossier finish. It had sheer color coverage, which was buildable to semi-sheer pigmentation.

The texture was lightweight, smooth, and moderately emollient–like a lip balm/lipstick hybrid–with light tackiness, which helped the product retain the shine and color a little longer than otherwise. There was a bit of product that settled into my deeper lip lines, though it was hard to see it in person. It stayed on nicely for three hours and was moisturizing over time.

The consistency was firm and stiff to work with, which resulted in drier, uneven coverage that was somewhat sheer. Nandi is a brighter, lime green with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was moderately powdery and drier compared to most shades in the range, which made it difficult to apply evenly and to build up the coverage. It had a tendency to have quite a bit of fallout when blended out as it sheered out from semi-opaque to semi-sheer coverage. There were signs of fading present after seven hours of wear.

Ranavalona is a light, white gold with a transparent base and flecks of champagne sparkle throughout. The texture was lightly emollient but not enough to keep all that sparkle in place when applied and blended out, so fallout was an issue both during application as well as during wear. It had semi-sheer to medium coverage, which may have been as intended, but there weren’t shade descriptions so I rated it like the formula in general (which is pigmented!). This shade lasted decently for eight hours with some fallout over time.

UOMA Beauty Good Morning Zamunda Black Magic Color Mini Palette ($29.00 for 0.33 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that included three matte shades and six shimmer shades. The unfortunate part was that two of the shimmers were real duds, which was a surprise as I know the brand can do a spectacular shimmery eyeshadow (like Desert Rose in this palette!). The shimmers that were problematic were very stiff and firmly-pressed, which made it difficult to get product onto a brush (or even a fingertip, which would just compact the pan more firmly into the pan).

It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, where the base seemed more translucent but there was plenty of sparkle to distract from that slight translucency. The consistency felt more loosely-pressed, so I’d recommend pressing and patting the product onto the lid to avoid fallout. It stayed on nicely for eight hours with slight fallout over time.

Aristocracy has a warmer, plummy base with fine, more navy blue shimmer/pearl. The texture was quite firm and stiff to work with, which resulted in the base looking patchier and clinging to skin texture (which exacerbated the patchiness) and made it really hard to pick up product. I had to dig and jab my brush into the pan to loosen enough product to show up on my skin at all. It had sheerer, buildable coverage that lasted for six hours before fading.

I’d recommend using it with a dampened brush to make it less difficult to work with. I’m always struck by the inclusion of something like this when you know the brand can do great shimmers!

UOMA Beauty Royal Heir-itage Black Magic Color Palette ($44.00 for 0.42 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that included five matte eyeshadows and five shimmer eyeshadows. The formula of the shimmery eyeshadows stood out to me as they were more emollient, almost cream-like, but the retained that slip when applied to skin, so it wasn’t a true cream-to-powder formula. They had a more intense shine, and while many were sparkly, there was very little fallout to worry over as the more emollient formula helped everything adhere to bare skin.

Ile Ife is a light-medium peach with strong, warm undertones and a bright, sparkling metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a cream-like texture that was smooth, thin (but not in a bad way), and felt emollient to the touch. The eyeshadow had great adhesion to bare skin, which ensured that those pretty sparkles didn’t get lost or dropped off the lid during application. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage with a particularly intense finish that was heavy on the sparkle, so it looked more opaque in practice (even if the base seemed sheerer).
