I like using something like MAC Fix+ to improve adhesion or intensity for wet/dry products or more sparkly powder products. I also mix in liquid highlighters into foundations for sheerer coverage and/or luminosity.

I started off commenting and posting often in a community dedicated to MAC makeup, and then I ended up starting my own blog, which is where I am today. It was a hobby, but it became my full-time job after I graduated from my graduate programs.

What look do you admire on others but can’t (or won’t) wear yourself?
There’s nothing I wouldn’t necessarily wear with respect to color/style, since I could always wash it off if I didn’t like it, but I don’t have the patience to do really avant garde looks – like intricate face masks or the like – but I absolutely love seeing the techniques behind them.

Drugstore Brands
They’ve come a long way since I’ve started using makeup,
but there are still some products that are lacking (I think powder eyeshadow and blush are the two that immediately come to mind–there are some winners but a lot of losers!). I wish there was a better selection online (or was more consistent)
as it can be hard to track down limited edition products in person (at least for me!).
