I think palettes priced around $50 or less is a good mark for more budgets than less. That seems to be the sweet spot for getting some value out of buying multiple shades all at once, giving up the ability to customize, etc. I don’t think that palettes at $100+ are “worth it” in the sense...

Intense pigmentation, satin to pearl finishes (though I’m digging metallic finishes these days), smooth, creamy, moderately dense textures that aren’t too thick or too thin. If it applies pretty well on bare skin, I know it’ll be just that much better over primer.
