By Beauty Bay Wilderness + Age of Opulence Palette Swatches
The By Beauty Bay Wilderness Palette ($15.00) really took the community by storm! I saw so many raves from readers on this palette that I decided to purchase it on the last restock along with the By Beauty Bay Age of Opulence Palette ($20.00), which just released. They are both limited edition, and while I will endeavor to review the Wilderness palette sooner rather than later (as last I heard, it will not be restocked again but is presently available), I can’t make any promises!
Here are swatches of both palettes!
Would you please confirm where these palettes are made? I’m guessing they are Made in PRC. Thanks.
As always, you can click on the product photo to see more images!
I did just that, but I still cannot determine place of manufacture by the photos. The Beauty Bay website is no help. Given the price, I’ll assume PRC and pass. Thanks anyway.
Hi Christina,
There are photos of each palette that say “Made in PRC” – fourth photo for Wilderness (the back), and fifth photo of Age of Opulence (the back). It’s just a lot faster for the future to relay how to lookup the info to a reader than waiting for me to have a moment to check, reply, etc. I was trying to help so that you could get your answer immediately going forward because I can get really behind on replying to questions with my current work load! Sorry!
OMG nothing to be sorry for! If anything, I’m sorry that I missed that and created more work for you…my bad! I appreciate your wonderful website and your “hands on” — literally! — approach.
Phew! 🙂
The pigments are really impressive!
In the past I would shy away from cosmetics made in PRC, but so many palettes I own–from drug store to high end–are made in China and they perform well.
Oh my word; these look amazing! I have to keep myself in check by reminding myself that I DO already have enough of these types of brighter or just more intense shades in order to prevent myself from possibly doing another Afterpay! 🤦🏻♀️
Wilderness swatches looking amazing!!! Age of Opulence looks good but the swatches for Rich and Velvet don’t look so hot so I think I’ll skip.
The swatches look pretty good on both of these palettes and there certainly is a wide variety of colours to chose from in each palette. Whilst these kinds of palettes are not for me (too large, shade colours and finishes), I think they could be very versatile for others.
There are many lovely shades, with good pigmentation in both palettes.
Even though they don’t cost much I’m going to pass on both as both contain colours I rarely if ever use. I have enough palettes with pans I’ve only swatched and never used.
I try to be economic and responsible, not easy, it’s a work in progress. 🙂
Curious why they cost different if they seem to be made from the same materials and are the same pan sizes and amounts. Hmmmmm
A reader thought it might have to do with the exchange rate when the prices were set because they’re the same price in pounds!
