Curious about the color for Criminal Black Violet!
*waiting* for Christine’s review…=)
I’m intrigued!
Lip plumper? Oh, crap.
Don’t worry! I love the plumping effect but this has none even though it says it has it.
Oooh!!!! I like the sound of these! Moisturizing? Plumping? Great colors? Yes Ma’am! I look forward to your reviews of these should you decide to review or swatch these! ?
No thanks. I don’t feel like irritating my lips to make them look plump.
I agree. I’d have to test how strong this plumping nonsense is personally. I swear it often does nothing but feeling gross or annoying.
I am intrigued by these, but I’m going to wait to see swatches and reviews, especially since matte lipsticks are not generally my dry lips’ friend.
This one will be polarizing. From my little research, plumping is usually produced by known irritants, like cinnamon oil, etc. Skin care experts generally campaign against such ingredients. But some plumpers are ok. Some do, some don’t really like the mousse type texture…..that’s what I get out of ‘whipped.’ But soft matte and buttery sound good. Do like the Buxom twist ups with the city names, despite their having a tingle, which indicates irritation. Always worth a try-on, and a check against the PC ingredient dictionary. Actually, the Sephora 100 pointer Buxom shadow pan stung quite a lot, now that I think about it, though there was no sting in the palette. Hmmmmm….
I wonder whether the plumper is peppermint or cinnamon oil. I can handle peppermint, but cinnamon oil makes my lips itch like crazy.
Some of this month’s Ipsy bags will have this in Centerfold. I might wait to see if I get one before purchasing a better color for me. Like the rest of you, I find “plumping” usually equals “burns like #(@*$&!”
I actually bought this as soon as they were available on Sephora, and let me tell you, they’re not good AT ALL. I expected something similar to the OFRA formula but this felt so weird on the lips, almost grainy. It isn’t long lasting either, removed with one swipe of tissue paper. It didn’t plump the lips either. The way these were marketed makes you have higher expectations of them because Centerfold (a warm nude) was so disappointing. The product certainly isn’t worth the $21 that I paid for. The finish wasn’t semi-matte or matte in the slightest bit. Hopefully Buxom can create a product that actually does what they advertise.
