Burberry Rose Pink (307) Lip Velvet Review, Photos, Swatches

Burberry Rose Pink (307) Lip Velvet ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a slightly warm, deep pink with a matte finish. Tom Ford Indian Rose is much lighter. MAC Speak Louder is cooler-toned. MAC Plumful is less pigmented, cooler. Guerlain Grenade is warmer. Chanel Taffeta Rose is brighter. Bobbi Brown Wild Rose is cooler. See comparison swatches.

It had rich, opaque color coverage, and it applied evenly and smoothly without pulling or tugging at the lip. The consistency is just creamy enough to glide on but not slide around the lip, so it stays in place well and lasted me six and a half hours when I wore it. If you love matte finishes for your lipsticks but find a lot of formulas drying or unforgiving, Burberry’s Lip Velvet is one of the better ones I’ve come across. It’s really comfortable to wear and doesn’t dehydrate my lips.

This color is gorgeous and the Burberry formula is phenomenal. I have the lip cover in English Rose and will be adding to my collection. I just wish Burberry was easier to get a hold of, as in, available in stores in more than just big cities. I don’t like buying lipsticks online because I like to swatch colors against my skin first.

How would you compare the texture and the color (although I feel like it’s really different, but you know lol) of this to MAC’s Please Me? Since that is the only sort of rosey pink color that I own, I suppose I would rather just have a comparison with that to really get the feel of it. Thanks! :))

Ooh!!! I love this rose pink red color!!!

It looks so pulled together, isn’t too shiny, and isn’t too matte. How perfect!!

And an A+……it must definitely be worth the $30

Pretty – I think MACs Cosmo is similar enough for now – not as pink and darker – but similar enough. Still – really pretty!

I LOVE the Burberry matte formula. I have Bright Poppy and it has to be the most comfortable matte to wear! The price may feel a little hefty when you are used to paying $15 (MAC) or less for drugstore brands but this is one of those splurges I think is worth it if you find a color you love and know you will wear!

This Burberry lipstick is definitely going to my wishlist.
I have a question that I really really want to know the answer to : does anyone know which lipstick Dr Arizona Robbins (Grey’s Anatomy) wears? It’s a berry pink lipstick but I can’t seem to find a dupe.
Please help me!!!

From the photos I’ve seen, I’d try bobbi brown Blondie Pink (regular lipstick, not the rich colour or sheer ones in case she has more of that name) and Rimmel Vintage Pink (warning: may be discontinued). both are mauve pink shades, Vintage Pink is more lilac, Bobbi Brown more brownish. The Bobbi one looks exactly like Dr. Arizona’s lippy from online pics I’ve seen, but more brownish on me.

I’d check a Bobbi Brown counter and ask for mauvey pinks, she also has a Lilac one in her Rich colour range, which I have not tried. Hope you find a colour that looks like that on you!

GORGEOUS, this shade looks so pretty and it looks really nice on you. I would buy this if we had Burberry available here, but I guess it will have to wait 🙁 . I do have Mac Speak lauder and I´m deciding to buy either Plumful or Craving so I will have to do with these for now…
