I’m so skeptical about the Platinum Shimmer brick. I have a bad history (brownie shimmer brick and I didn’t get along), and I’ve always preferred MAC MSFs over shimmer bricks (even though I’m not convinced they serve the same purpose). Christine, do you have an opinion on this one? I can see trying it on eyes, but to use a grey on your face?

Wow….love this collection, even though silver isn’t really my thing….I’m more a warm-toned girl…..but I think the Shimmerbrick will just be lovely….and it will be mine! Thanks Christine for the great pics! 😀

Can’t wait for this shimmer brick to be added to my collection of BB shimmer bricks. 🙂 (I think I have 8 of them.)
There’s also going to be a new shimmer eye palette, will definitely be getting that too. 🙂

I love the colors.. but I am hesitant on the shimmer bricks. I HATE the BB cream eyeshadows.. they do not hold up as well as a paint pot or a smudge pot. IMO they are not worth the money.

I agree about the cream shadows. My experience with them has not been positive especially if your skin holds a lot of moisture and if you are in the sun or warm climate. I love the overall look that the model presents. I am not familiar with BB cosmetics but I like that brick.

I like the look of the shimmerbrick! I haven’t tried the Bobbi Brown shimmerbricks before. Has anyone used the beige or pale pink shimmer bricks and if so, what do you think of them? I’ve been having a look at these but not totally sure what they’d look like on. Do you use them over blusher to give it some shimmer or as a highlighting powder?

I love my pink shimmer brick, it looks really nice on me (I have light skin). It’s good without a blush, but even better with one. The rose one is a bit darker, really pretty too. I don’t have the beige one, but the bronze one is really good too (probably works better on darker skin than the pink one). (Can you tell I’m a big fan of them? lol)

The pink is nice for cooler/pink skin tones – I have a warm/yellow toned skin & it looks a bit ashy on me. The beige is really nice & neutral. They are a bit pricey but a little goes a long way!

Thanks for the info, really helpful of you both :o) . My skin is fair but warm toned, so might be worth checking out one of the warmer toned shimmerbricks. Think I’ll still check out the pink one, as I love pink blushers and it’d probably look really nice along with that.

On a warmer skin tone, the pink quartz shimmer brick would probably look best, but that was a LE unfortunately (although I’m sure there’s a few available on Ebay). Have fun trying them out anyway!

the platinum shimmerbrick is a must-have i have to say. i tried it already and its just gorgeous!!! it makes ur face glow without beeing too shimmery. you just have to use a lil bit. it will be perfect for summer too!! and the mix of warm and colds makes it wearable for all skincolors.
