Bobbi Brown Golden Pink Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick Review, Photos, Swatches

Bobbi Brown Golden Pink Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick ($28.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “shimmering pink peach.” It’s a shimmering peach with a golden champagne sheen and warm undertones. Estee Lauder Pink Zinc is rather similar, perhaps a bit more pink-toned. MAC Sweet Heat is darker, pinker. MAC Fusion Gold is lighter. Chanel Emerveille is comparable.

The new Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks are supposed to wear for eight hours, have good color payoff, and a glide-on consistency.  Golden Pink has a fantastic texture and feel; it’s creamy enough to apply evenly and with full color coverage without tugging or pulling on the lid, but it stays put and doesn’t crease while you wait for it to dry down.  It sets quickly, but you have enough time to blend and smooth out any edges if you wear it as an eyeshadow or alone.  The lighter color gives it added versatility, as it can be used as an eyeshadow base to add warmth and increase vibrancy of other eyeshadows.  Golden Pink wore a full eight hours on me with no creasing, fading, or smudging; it was still in very good shape after ten hours.

I have this and Laura Mercier’s new Caviar Stick in Rose Gold. I think they are very similar, with Rose Gold being a little pinker. They are both lovely. Caviar Sticks are my weakness! I especially love the new shade Grey Pearl.

I prefer the caviar sticks. They are easier to blend and last longer, in my opinion. BUT, I only have Golden Pink and Sand Dune from BB. I do love Sand Dune though and think it is worth picking up.

I came here to ask you how the formula compares to MAC’s paint pots. Then I decided to compare amounts, and wow! BB is $10 more for less than half the amount! I think I will stick the paint pots. I realize some people will just prefer the stick, but for me, the pot system doesn’t bother me.

I have such a weakness for this color family…I have the Laura Mercier Rose Gold caviar stick and I think it’s similar, but not so similar I don’t want this, too 🙂

Very beautiful color! I find these lighter shades more wearable. Dark cream colors just overwhelm my hooded eyes. I have a lot of colors similar to this at home, so I’ll probably pass this particular one, but I’ll definitely look to see what else they have in stores. 🙂

Pretty. …..But as a huge fan of Bobbi Brown AND Laura Mercier, I must say, Laura has Bobbi beat on this one. Ive tried BB too but LM caviar eye color stick was the first, blends effortlessly, the color does not budge, she just came out with 5 new beautiful colors for spring, and it is even cheaper than BB! I love amethyst, sand, orchid, and gray pearl best! IM curious to see how the color you reviewed compares to LM Rose gold.

Very pretty! How would you say this compares to the Urban Decay pencil in Sin? I love that color, but the formula makes my eyes water!! Thank you!

i have to ask a weird ques! i started blogging some time back and it didnt work for me coz my back used to ache after sititng so long on computer. also when i slept at night my mind was so alert of constantly editing photos that i decided to stop it on whole. now you do so much work on internet. how do you cope with these issues. do you have stress of posting reveiws on time? and does your eyes hurt?
i know my question is really stupid but i hope for a satisfying answer! 🙂

I see you haven’t blended these, would you say that these are really difficult to blend? You mentioned that they dry quickly, but is it like super quickly, as to leave stripes as they are on your lids, or can there be at least a little bit of time to blend? I hope these are not like Greasepaint sticks.. bew..

I almost bought a Bobbi Brown shadow stick this week! I’m a little scared to use it. This is sooo pretty. Back on the wish list! Regret not buying it!

I love the color, and went and tried it on at Bobbi. It creased on me almost immediately and the girl applied more to smooth it out but after walking around for 10 minutes I went back and had her take it off because it was creasing. I have yet to find a cream shadow or base that doesn’t crease without a primer on under it for me, and after the glowing reviews here I hoped this would be it for me. However, the color WAS gorgeous and honestly applying a layer of UDPP under a cream shadow isn’t the biggest inconvenience to me. I may still buy it the next time I’m in.
