The promo shot looks a little simplistic, but still elegant.
I don’t own any Bobbi Brown, but I do like dark colors. I may take a look at this.
Same here. The Black Cherry Creamy Lip Colour interests me. I also like the black charcoal. The others I can dupe with my MAC e/s collection. I own no BB. May give it a whirl. 🙂
So pretty. Right up my alley!
I’m super excited for this collection! I love Bobbi and finally a collection that is unique and not full of neutrals!
The colours are way too dark !
It’s more of the late 90s makeup
lol, styles always come back around!
I’m craving the Black Berry eyeshadow…
ohhhh…id love swatches of all the lipsticks..im so into this vamp-dark red for cold weather that i want to try every sinlge one of them….maybe not a love at first sight but seems for love that will last!!
I have the new black Kohl pencil and I think it’s great. Nice and dark, really soft, stays put longer than her creamy eye pencils. I’ve only worn it a few times though, so I’m still test driving it. So far, so good. Also, I’ve been totally jonesing for those lip colors ever since my mom brought home the catalog from Bobbi school… Basically that entire page of lip color will just have to be mine… if my wallet allows it.
I love Bobbi Brown and this collection looks really beautiful, but does anyone feel like it is a more refined revisitation of Style Black from MAC last fall? Maybe that is just my take on it, but I am excited to see the products anyhow!
I’m very fair so this would be a super-goth-vampire look for me… (i.e. Marilyn Manson anyone?) The colors are okay, just not for me.
I love it just perfect!!
Black Berry?? LOL
I’m looking for a great pencil liner that won’t smudge. Any recommendations? I want a nice precise line, and this ad caught my attention until i read that I is great for a smudged look. -_-
I like MUFE Aqua Eyes or UD 24/7!
I’ve never tried Bobbi Brown products, I always have but the price tag keeps me away from trying a new product ($20 for eyeshadow when MAC is $14). Is the quality worth the extra price?
It just depends what you want, you know? A lot of Bobbi Brown’s shades are on the sheer side or they’re “buildable,” which might not be what you’re looking for. There are some excellent shades (very smooth, buttery, rich in color) for sure, but there are also a lot of more neutral shades.
I’m a teacher so I typically don’t do anything too dramatic. I wear lots of neutrals- that pretty much all I wear- but the sheerness kind of scares me. I’ve heard that the Lipstick quality is better than the eyeshadow.
If you go for soft, natural looks, I really do like BB (but don’t get me wrong, MAC makes a ton of awesome neutrals). But if you’re happy with MAC, I don’t think you’ll be SO impressed by BB that you’ll stop using MAC either.
Price per ounce, Bobbi Brown is cheaper than MAC. Her eyeshadows are huge compared to little MAC.
Need Black Cocoa (metallic eyeshadow), as well as black charcoal eyeshadow, and all the kohls. Will be interesting to see the lip stuff Christine! (sultry season!)
It’s like a fancier and more grown-up version of last fall’s Style Black MAC collection. I may check out the eye liners only.
Ruh Roe….this looks gorgeous and I was on a no buy……
I’m looking forward to testing out the Creamy Lip Color! The description promises a lot so we’ll have to see if it delivers
this is a very wearable, classy and elegant approach to the whole “all black” trend. i see a few things i’m gonna have to pick up.
black berry eyeshadow (on the lid) would look amazing on green eyes, smoked out with a dark pewter in the crease 🙂
I’ve been waiting for you to feature this one!! I even asked you on twitter. My BBrown rep showed me in July and I promised myself not to buy anymore makeup until this came out. It looks BEAUTIFUL!!!
I see at least one shadow and three lipsticks I’d like to test here! I have had some issues with BB lipsticks in the past (lack of pigment–Hot Cocoa), so these will need to be sampled.
Swatches, please!
Super ! C’est trés chic !
I don’t like the look on the promo shoot but the products look fantastic!
Bobbi actually designed this collection with her deep-toned skin customers in mind (the lispticks at least). Imagine what it’s like to be NW45 and look for a “nude” lipstick and be given something like MAC Blankety by a NW20 MUA! The lip colours are designed to be sheer, natural, and wearable, so for everyone hoping for colours with the opacity of the Style Black Lipsticks, that’s not what this collection is about!
I can’t wait to try it, and you are right. It is hard for the nw 40 and on girls to find a nude.
does anyone know if the lip colors are sheer?
I want Black Charcoal eyeshadow. I can never have enough grays and taupes.
Thanks for sharing, the picture is so elegent. Finally a deep hued collection!!!! Do we know what the model is wearing in this photo?
the one good perk of working in a department store is getting discounts on great make up =D I was excited for the new Lancome Fall until I saw it in person. Seeing these BB promo pics are exciting. I ve been looking for a nice shimmery burgundy eyeshadow for a while that doesn’t have too much brown in it. I am hoping that this collection will do the trick =D the dark lipsticks are a plus too
Aww no new long-wear gel liners? still – everything looks so nice as always 🙂
I really like this. And the girl in the pic looks elegant, yet casual. Very nice. And I don’t think we had colours this nice in the 90’s. At least not here in SA! 🙂
These might be too dark for my skin, but I still totally love ’em!
The girl in the ad is Helena Sopar, a model from Croatia, gorgeous!
hmm.. I can’t pull off dark lips very well even though I find the look very chic. I may give the “sheerer” colors a try!
Christine, when may you have swatches for these, if at all?
I don’t know when I will have swatches of these, sorry!
I wish this collection contained a cheek color (or that bobbi’s team spills the beans on how they did the models’ makeup in the promo photos because I love the delicate black undertone to the contouring. it’s what is most interesting about this colleciton and what i would most want to copy
This collection is beautiful, can’t wait to see what my MA can do for me with my pale skin.
I tried on all the lip colors and only got one. LOL they are pretty. Not sure how the eyeshadows will wear yet, I have to go back and play with them.
black berry looks yum! need to check it out.
I checked out the new collection at Saks and bought the Black Raspberry lipstick. It is by far the most exciting collection BB has put out in a LONG time! Black Raspberry is the perfect color…it looks almost black in the tube, but goes on sheer and is buildable to a deep, intense color. This will be my go-to fall lipstick!
I need to know if there is a clon for the Black Cocoa Metallic eyeshadow, please.
