I…do not understand these color choices at all. If you’re going to do only this many shades, why go for so many cool pinks? No classic red? Barely any nudes or browns? Weird choice.

kjh Avatar

Especially since they started with an assortment of reds and nudes. Kind of too bad that Covid hit when so many brands were offering glosses and shine products, finally.

Sydney Avatar

There doesn’t seem to be any warm shades. I’m a sucker for lip plumpers (I love the tingle) but I’ll have to sit this one out for now.

I’ve never tried lip masks so I’m really curious what lip masks do in terms of benefits and ingredients in other lip products (gloss, balms, lipstick, etc.) Do the masks you’re using on your lips make any difference?

Shelly Avatar

The main result that Lip Masks provide is hydration. The degree of hydration and how long lips stay hydrated after the use of the mask (like almost anything) depends on the quality of it’s ingredients. As for as other claims that other Lip Masks make…I believe it is all relative since everybody has different needs which leads to different experiences. I love Lip Masks and I find that after I mask my lips the results of whatever the lip product is intended to provide is way more effective and as well as the result of very soft and youthful looking lips.

I absolutely LOVE cool pinks so I personally enjoy these color choices, especially rose and raspberry. The warm browns and nudes are done so often – although I do think it is interesting how few they chose to include in this collection and agree that you’d expect a red or two. I am not a fan of most artificial cinnamon flavors (gum, toothpaste, etc). I like lip plumpers if they are a sweeter mint and not to uber burning, so the only thing turning me off of these is really just the cinnamon flavor.

I’m a little confused on this packaging paired with the description. Is the balm/llipstick looking stuff just a plastic applicator or is it a separate product and the bottom is more a traditional gloss wand?

Helena Avatar

From an additional product photo and description on Sephora, it’s the applicator (I thought it looked like a pumping balm!):
“Twist the top of the lip gloss tube until gloss comes out. Swipe across lips using the super-slick, high-shine tip. Lip tip: Wipe the tip clean after use for a fresh application every time.”

I think these look great! Cider Donut, yes please 🙂

And I’m not usually a superfan of cool pinks but Rose Meringue looks really pretty…

As someone who enjoys the scent of cinnamon and who really dislikes the scent of mint, I’m happy that I’ll be able to enjoy these. That said, I’d rather that cosmetic companies not use ingredients that are meant to trigger inflammatory responses. This really isn’t a broad range of shades, either. As a cool-toned person, I appreciate a company skewing their offering towards us (most companies go the other way) but for a product line, it seems too limited. I really wish Bite would come back with a comprehensive lipstick offering. There was no reason to discontinue their previous Amuse Bouche range unless they were replacing it with something better/ comparable.

I’m a sucker for lip glosses in general but if they claim to plump, I’m even more intrigued. I’ll have to wait for some reviews to see how people feel about this product before I buy though. Quick question…..does anyone know what the differences between lip products (Glosses/balms/lipstick, etc.) that claim to have all the wonderful ingredients and lip masks? I’ve never tried any lip masks so I’m curious if they do anything that another lip product would do in terms of benefits. Thanks.

I love bite beauty and part of me is glad I only like one shade. I have and love to many lip products but can only use colorless balm most of the time. I wear pretty gloss driving to work.

Might try the light pink.

I’ve been assuming has bullet lipsticks in the pipeline, and that we’ll the get their reformulated version at some point. My guess is that they’re doing a big color range and it takes more time to develop all the colors. No inside line here, just my idea of what would make sense.
