Release Date + Where to Buy

Wear your star sign on your lips with Astrology by BITE, an ultra-limited-edition collection featuring a new shade of award-winning Amuse Bouche Lipstick for each sign of the zodiac. The fiery summer months of July and August mark the start of the sign Leo, the seventh shade in the series. Made with the same pure pigments and mouthwatering ingredients, such as fresh-pressed citrus, botanical oils, and resveratrol (an antioxidant found in red wine), Leo offers incredible vibrancy and bold dimension.

Leo is a fire sign, ruled by the sun. Like the sun, bold Leo lions like to be the center of attention: They’re dramatic and charismatic, always the star of the show. Find them center-stage at their local theater group, auditioning for the latest reality show (if they don’t already have a massive YouTube following), or doling out the best hairstyle advice to their friends.

LOL, that’s literally what every Cancer said and we were all screaming for sparkly opal color reminiscent of the moon. They literally cannot make anyone happy.

Amanda Avatar

“We were” not all hoping for sparkly, I was hoping for something cool toned, dark and moody. But this is proof that, like you said, they cannot make everyone happy!

Karine Avatar

I was waiting for my sing to show up. I expected something maybe orange, but this is unexpected. I’m not sure I’ll get it anymore ?

haha I’m glad I don’t care about astrology and thus do not feel disappointed about the lipstick for my sign being something I’d never wear. The world is full of lipsticks I like!

Nikki Avatar

Also Leo here and was sooooo looking forward to our month…. but was fearing it will be GOLD. It might be wearable but it depends on how opaque the lipstick is. Wish we got fiery RED instead of gold. 🙁

Tam Avatar

This is so beautiful. Most of the gold lip products that are out there now are in lip gloss form – rarely a lipstick. Even though I have BITE’s and TooFaced’s lip gloss version and don’t need more in this tone, I’m getting this one. Excited for Christine’s swatch of this to seal the deal.

Evelyn Avatar

It’s really not what I envisioned as a Leo (I am all about the reds) but if it’s as nice as one of their gold glosses that I missed out on buying, I might get it.

AB Avatar

I’m a Leo so have been looking forward to this one. I’m entertained — it’s fun and sparkly, and that’s in spirit of Leo — and I’m glad it isn’t a bright orange as I thought they may do (and would have been too on the nose for my taste). This particular shade is not for me as it is too dark for my fair tones and I already have a gold glitter Bite gloss. But fun to see this installment in the series.

I’m a Virgo and just hoping (fingers crossed) that it’s either a wine/oxblood or brownish red but after seeing Leo’s lippie, i don’t have a clue what Virgo will bring. I just hope that it’s not some sweet summer pinkish shade)….

Seraphine Avatar

Being an earth sign, Virgo should definitely be an earthy shade, even though it is technically a summer sign. Brown, tan, or beige would make the most sense. I hope they don’t go with a boring “nude” shade and do a warm brown-red instead. Pink makes no sense to me as a Virgo color! (I’m a Virgo, too.)

I like this shade for some reason. It’s not orangey and almost has a neutral undertone. I got the Gemini and at first I did not like it. But then I realized it’s a great touch up lipstick to keep in my purse because it has both a nude and a red. And the Bite formula is great.

I feel like when he astrology signs first came out, those lipsticks were always sold out. After Gemini one, they buzz hasn’t been as strong. I wanted the Aquarius one though lol I don’t think I can get gold to work for me.

My soon to be 26 year old twins are Leo’s and I’m tempted to buy this for my daughter. She’s chocolate complexed and when she wears Bite’s gold lip gloss people compliment her all the time! But I brought her a Fashion Fair lip stick trio that has a gold shade in it. I still might get this for her. Lol I’m spending too much money on their gifts!!

How is this different from the gold sparkle lipstick that came out during the holiday season? I tried (and returned) that one, so this one is an easy pass for me, though I’m happy for everyone who is excited for this release.

I guess I honestly don’t know what I want from them. I got Taurus and am happy with that one. I tried to love Aquarius and Pisces, but just couldn’t. I haven’t bothered with the others.

Maybe I’m waiting for something more a la MAC Candy Yum Yum or Vegas Volt, because, ya know, I *need* another one of those shades.

Susan E Nevling Avatar

I too am a Leo. That gold would only work mixed with another color to glam the non Leo color a bit. On it’s own, I think I won’t like it. O will swatch it if I can get to Sephora. (Mobility issues)

I’ve waited 7 months for this and THIS IS WHAT THEY GIVE US!! I am so furious lol like I’m laughing but not really. BiTE is one of my fav brands so I was excited to have a Leo branded one and I just knew it was going to be a gorgeous every day color that was universal but no who do they think can wear this and where am I – a 36 year old mom – going with gold effing lipstick. UGGGH and then glitter…G L I T T E R! whew okay…..vent over.
